Thats a really good question right now. There was a lot of buzz about 1/8 scale in the pits this winter but not so much about electric.

I expect that there will be electric racing at the Motor Storm event but its just not clear just yet what the class(s) will look like. We'll know a lot more after the first few regular club races who we can expect

If everybody local who has a mod truck or 4wd buggy shows and If we get 2 or more guys to make the trip it should be a respectible turnout of 5 or 10.

Grimm, If your interested in a motor the best thing to do is to send the Doug or Chuck Meyers an email or call them.

You'll want to speak with Doug if you can. I think he has owned and tried every .21 motor and tuned pipe worth having in the last 4 years. I'm sure they can hook you up, especially if you get a track membership and plan to race with us this summer.

Sorry Bob, I doubt there will be enough 2wd buggies to make a class in and of itself.

But, you might not have to buy a mod truck. I'm sure they would combine classes (Mod Truck / Mod Buggy / Mod 4wd Buggy) together if necessary.

4-man,
i wish i could do that...no reason to fight it really.radar is what he used and it was his word against mine....i know i will have to go to a departmental hearing....but i also looked at all the bads....im looking at a 15 day suspension.and depending on my driving record i could be looking at a little more time...but i dont think its going to be super bad....maybe a month tops...will have to wait and see.

Matt, as much as I hate to say it, Forman is right. If you contest the ticket there is a slight chance the offier will fail to attend the hearing and in that case you wont have to pay anything.

And even if he does, most of the time, you will get 5-10 mph knocked off the measured speed because radar is not 100% accurate and it may have been a while since his radar gun was calibrated.

If they reduce the speed the Judge will also reduce the points.

Considering the penalties you're looking at, its time well spent.

The magistrate in my district is a fair guy and I personally know him, he says fight all speeding tickets!!! I would just plead "not guilty" and go from there.....It'll be time well spent. I got caught going 100 in a 55....

I will race at McCullough's Offroad most of the time. The other times I'll be at TRS.
