Default Oval

I don't run oval, so I obviously have no opinion. However, I think its a good idea to at least ask Gerald and Dan, like everyone else, gix, ice, teamblue, mayhem, etc., they are GREAT supporters of TRS and I don't think either one of them get on the forum much or at all. That said sounds unanimous, just make sure you check the grain of the carpet, I have no idea what that means, but i've heard ovalers talk about how that is important for those cars to work.

Travis - let me know if anything needs bought, TRS certainly appreciates your help with track materials this - GO BLIZZARD GRAPHICS, You and others have been a huge help making this awesome onroad season happen. THANKS!

Losi JRXS Type R is back and spent four hours practicing on sunday, should be a much more stable performance this Friday night. TC5 for sale - $305 dollars built and ran once.

Hey guys, did anyone realize there is a point series in Altoona that is going to be extremely tight? I think its even on this thing called a website!

Weather is set to be CRRRRAAAPPPY, just like the steelers, for months to come, lets get some rockin on-road action rolling gents and ladies!

Anyone who is looking to the 08 offroad season, let me know if you are interested in getting an 1/8th scale ride going - pending an interview with halo 8 racing, if you seem to be a good prospect of racing weekly, practicing for improvement and adding to our cadre of standup guys who race in altoona you may get hooked up.

d4man, gixx how was that main last week with 10 2wd trucks on a tight track with TLP out there? Clean n' fast?

I may give up watching football if the NFL continues to feature SEAL music on monday night football, what the $*@!

Default oval

Sounds like most oval guys want a bigger oval, but I would ask that you guys get together friday night and get a face to face consensus, obviously it doesn't have to be unanimous, but a consensus. Other than that, let me know what you need Brad and whomever else.

Hey, D4Man, what about Pink King Pins? Aren't they pretty much the same tire? And since everyone grinds them down to slicks anyhow, the tread pattern shouldnt matter. Right?

Doug, why are you selling that stuff??? You didn't even try it out?

Ed, you could certainly try it. I am not concerned about the slicks. What I am concerned about is when it gets cold and blustery outside. We'll eventually need tires with some kind of pin on them.

Ed - King Pins have a different profile than Taper Pins and won't make as good of a slick. The sidewall is very think on the King Pin and that causes an issue with making slicks out of them. They might work when the water freezes in the winter and we are running on a dry track. Otherwise, I'd stick to Taper Pins for your slicks...

Learn something new every day! It makes sense - if pink King Pins worked just as good as Tapers they would be sold out too.

Thanks Chris.

Jeff, I'm up to my neck with cover pages for my TPS reports - apparently I didnt get the memo!

Matt, Don't forget to call Jeff.

Travis: Maybe I'll see you at the track tonight and I seriously doubt Shumacher is making a come back. F1 requires about 10,000 miles of testing for every single mile driven during a race and there are not enough good test drivers available. I have no doubt, however, that he's still amoungst the fastest drivers in the world.
