Thanks alot. The time thing is not a problem. I like having time to work on the car and shoot the bull with everyone. I actually might try lipo this week. If I do I will say it will make for an easier night plus birng less stuff to.

Great prices on Picco design-based engines that are hot and reliable

FYI folks, mine is on the way!
Hey it wouldn't be too hard for them to become a Schumacher dealer either.

you're right wyd, actually, TRS is set up as a Schumacher dealer, if anyone is interested, let us know. its just tough to stock parts and kits, too much overhead and shipping kills.

Yeah starting a hobby shop is very tough. It is very cout throat and especially with only having a choice of two big distributors like Great Planes and Horizon and then all these little places that don't use a distributor so you have to go direct.

Schumacher does carry the new 5000mah CORE Lipo pack and is working on the new CORE 3200 lipo all in hard cases. Also will be carring brushless stuff from Speed Passion (makes Orion OEM brushless motors and Peak Performance and a few other companies use their brushless OEM motors).

Should have known - 11/16 is a cash race! I'm curious what car you're bringing Masterson?

? for you guys who run lipo............. Do you use the same lipo pack all day and if so how many runs til you recharge it? What pack are you using?

I might have a lipo pack with me this week to test with and actually have no experiance with them at all.

Thanks

Brian, I have 2 lipos, but there have been a few times where I have used just 1 all night. I was able to completely recharge it between each round. My packs have been taking been taking 1750 - 2000 Mahs to recharge after a 6 minute qualifier.

I could probably run back to back with out re-charging (my Lipo has 4900 Mahs) but I prefer to re-charge because the voltage does drop off some if it's not repeaked. And I never want to take a change by overdischarging one.

I've been charging at 4.2 amps and it usually only takes 20-30 minutes to get back to 8.4v.

If you never charged a Lipo before, you need to be aware that as the charger approaches 8.4v the charge rate starts to drop. So the last 10 minutes its down to charging at .5 amps and only 50-100 mahs seem to go in over that periord of time.

Performance wise, I don't think there really is a power advantage at all. But they do weigh less and are extremely easy to use. You can charge it the night before and it will not loose any punch while it sits overnight.

With lipo/brushless/rubber tires my touring car requires half the maintenance and attention my pan car needs to be competitive. Which is great, because, sometimes, I just don't have the time to do all the things I should.
