48 entries sounds like a very good turn out... How many classes did you run?
#62
Yesterday's was even better, had 51 entries. Ran a novice class,2wd stock buggie,2wd mod truck,4wd mod ele, 2wd nitro, 1/8th monster-truggy, 1/8th buggy. Also ran a 5 lap powder puff class for the first time. I think it will become a regular next year. Wish we had more stock 2wd ele trucks. Most of us truck guys switched to buggies. Most all the electric class drivers are running brushless- lipo combos. All though a stock or mild mod brushed motor and a good 4200 nimh will make our ten minute mains with no problem.

I have no electric off road stuff, carpet electric only. I,ve got my Revo 3.3 and am considering either a truggy to replace it or a buggy to add with it.

Yep, had a really fun day racing on sat. I even ran my truck for the first time in almost a year (I have been running 4wd mod buggy). Rick I should have a lipo for the BJ4 Worlds for next year, so watch out as I will be gunning for you guys in the main (I don't want to hear it when my blue and orange rocket flys past you on the straight, and then out runs you in the infeild)
I will also have a 2wd buggy to run with you guys (or so I hope), just to it make it harder for you to keep up with max, and andy.
Also do you think we can have a race every other weekend for next year?
Warhawk who painted the shell in your avatar (it looks like something Lux graphics painted)? Also you should get a 2wd buggy, as the class is really fun to drive, and there is always at lease 8 people racing that class (yes the 8th scale class a bunce of people as well, but the electric class has a higher avarge # of people for the race turn out)

We are looking to run a series race with another track in the area. If Gary and the guys from Goshen get their's up and going in the spring it will probably be with them. If not We will try to work something with Alton at Jones. We opened to be a bashers track first, a racers track second. It's easier to bring newbes into the hobby this way. For that same reason we are very liberal on class rules. The only motor we don't allow is a jet engine

You don't race every weekend? If you don't have a race scheduled is the track open for practice? Series racing does sound fun but the convienience of the location is key... One of my friends from our indoor track here in NY painted it for me. He's awesome with an air brush. With making the big move approaching quickly I don't think I'll be getting either my 1/8th or any other rc cars for a bit. I do enjoy nitro more than electric. I'm looking forward to racing a bunch!

I had him paint me a revo body, another touring car body and I'll probably get him to do me a 1/8th buggy, just so I have it before I leave here!
