The Chicagoland R/C Raceway in Tinley Park has an outdoor, off road track (it's in the beer garden of the Tinley Park Bowl). See our web site for more information: www.chicagolandrc.com

Our off road season starts on Saturday May 10th with a Monster Truck Jam event (see the Chicago R/C club website for more information about that event, as they are sponsoring it: www.chicagorc.com). Starting the following week (Saturday May 17th) we'll be running off road every Saturday through October.

And, once the off road season starts (and maybe sooner), the track will be open for practice daily from about 9am until 3am (it's well lit)... only 'exception' is that you have to be 21 or over to be in the beer garden after about 6pm, but the bonus is you can have a beer or two, eat some ribs from the BBQ and practice with your off road car until 3am.

I wish I knew how to set up this forum to e-mail me when someone posts to a forum I'm involved in.

Anyway, sorry for the slow response. We plan on charging $5/day/person for open practice, and as I stated before, the track will be open for a lot of practice once our season gets going.

There is a free outdoor track in Mazomanie WI N/W of Madison.
The track is owned by the village and is for any one to use.
If you show up on a sunday evening late afternoon is when you will see the most guys there. they show up anywhere from 4pm to 6pm and go till dark (of course these are all nitro guys)
The track is runable and we are trying to work out bugs and new layouts, jumps etc.... pretty much the village will let us do what we want with it they do not maintain it... Racers do...
