The only track that I know of that is off road is Long Island Raceway. http://www.raceway.com/ . I think it is for only electric - not sure though.

From what I heard, I think some guys over at Queens United R/C are trying to build a outdoor off road track some where in Queens? - http://www.queensunitedrc.com/

If you can't find any info, give these guys a call

Take care

don't hold your breath looking for an offroad track in the 5 boro's you may find a few guys on a makeshift track out in the woods somewhere, and that's fine if that's all your looking for but if you want a lap counting system and organized racing by a sanctioning body then your in for a long wait.

not to attack anyone personally but QURC has been promising a track now for the last 5 years or so I personally don't see it as being anything but a pipe dream. but hey i've been wrong before.

It's very tuff to have any perminate track in the NYC area!!!!! Do you have any idea what property is going for.... Unless a track is making money 27/7, taxes, rent, or mortgage would consume it in a heart beat!!!!

As for the qurc guys, yes it is a track made up in the woods somewhere, but on a trophy race, it is very organized... Besides I thought it was more about FUN more then anything else....

27/7? Alberto, did you find more hours in a day?

QURC has a track in Cunningham park. They raced there several times this year, with some respectable turnouts. Maybe it's not the next location for the off road worlds, but it's a track and you should be happy with that.

not to sound negative but i've seen the track setup a cunningham park and although it is fun it is not what I'm looking for when I here the words "off-road track". honestly I found it to be a bit lacking, if I was just getting involved with racing then yes it's a great inexpensive way to get a feel for the next level of the hobby, for all the newcomers and the seasoned R/C'er looking for a stress free day of fun then by all means have at it but if your looking for serious compition your going to need to drive out to barnstormers in chester NY or trax70 in south jersey there are a few others in PA as well as long island.

Check out Long Island Raceway. Its only 50 minutes away from the city and has many many factory sponsored drivers. Kinwald, Francis, Hodapp, and many others have visited this track in there career. This is not a place you place at, this is a hardcore race facility.
