I vote for foams. Foams chunk when you hit stuff....so don't hit stuff.

hey guys this is eric vaverchak i have been off the site for a while, but i am thinking about fall touring. i was wondering if anyone would be interested in running lipos, and maybe a trinity spec motor. this setup should fly. create a low 2.4 weight limit for everything. and run maybe a blue foam spec tire. bought from bill that way you wont chunk as often. i dont know just kickin around some ideas if anyone is intersted. later.

i think we shud stay away from lipo that is a big expence that not everyon can afford

stock touring will b plenty fast for the tight track we run and if we run rubber we wont chunk

we don need any more off the wall classes one class will allow for more enteries and more competition

well the whole idea of lipo is to save money, one battery 100.00, one charger 130.00, thats it 230.00 total. you get 30 minutes runtime out of a lipo pack.

nimh class. three good matched packs, 180.00...good charger 180.00, 35amp discharger spintec or whatever 85.00, tray 60.00, halfway through the season you need one or two new packs because your voltage sucks and cant compete with the guys that have connections on better packs. another 80.00 time and effort to take care of your packs total for nimh, 585.00 a season. seems like lipo all the way.

or maybe we could run lipo with a spec motor, against nimhs with a monster. just to even it out for guys that cant afford to run nimhs.

Bill had an annoucement last year about Lipo.
I think 'never' was the word he used. His concern was the exploding packs. Maybe someone can change is mind.

i havent bought a new charger or discharge tray in 2 years and im runnin on last season pack and the still hav kick ass voltage i knoiwu dont need brand mew pack every 3 months or a 300 trubo 35 to b compedative on a club level

a good matched pack and a budget peakl charger will b plenty 2 win at marshalls (i's more about driving then power)

im not saying lipo is bad its just that totally changing a class is bad there is no reason 2 force someone to buy all new

lipo should b an option just like brushless should b

if u want lipo run lipo in stock then it dosent bother me (this is my last winter racing so i just want 2 have fun, b compedative,maybe finish high in points and most of all have fun)
id also love 2 c us b able 2 use the brushless stock setup but i know that wont happen
