Usually we allow anything goes for mod SC, but for certain sanctioned races we limit it to 1/10 electronics and 2S lipo

My preferences for servos are definitely Savox. The Savox 1258 Titanium Gear (.08 transit, 170 oz, torque) is approximately $65-$80 depending on where you buy.

Run atleast a 5000MAH 30C Lipo...any less you may have issues at tracks with longer mains.
100% support G's comment.

Suggest the following for budget:
Castle 1410 Motor (4 pole unsensored; sensored is not so necessary for 4WD, especially when starting out)
Hobbywing 120A ESC (you won't need a capacitor / glitchbuster with this route)
Savox 1258TG Servo
15T Mod1 Pinion
5800C (minimum) 60C Battery

You'll also need to buy a servo horn..

I don't know if G carries the Hobbywing, but hopefully he can hook you up with everything else and recommend an ESC that he does carry. My next suggestion for the ESC would be the Castle Mamba Max Pro along with a Spektrum capacitor (you will need this with the Castle MMP or else you'll glitch).

Highly suggest the Spektrum DX3S for starter radio and receiver.

You will bend your stock aluminum shock towers (at least the rear one). Do yourself a favor and also buy the Losi carbon fiber ones while you're at it.

If you get the above and a charger, then your truck will be 100% competitive.

Talk to G - he has great deals, is a local track and will treat you right. If we don't support/buy from local tracks, we have no place to play. Plus they are great people. I just wish I could get up there more often!

Hey Mike - I saw you at Bumps with a Losi. Am I seeing things or did you switch from Associated?

I didn't know if you had an evil twin brother or something... HA.

TRADER, TRADLER, what's the difference?

Oh! An L.

For Losi!

(I'd be running a Losi 8th scale if I could afford it - LOL)

Thanks for the kind words. I know G appreciates that. He tries to be good to all of his customers and friends. Robin
