He is at the orthopedic Dr right now. I will give him your message.
You are right it is nothing to mess with. Back problems create problems for the rest of your body. He can't wait to get back to working. Thanks for the get well wishes. I know Garland appreciates that.

Thanks for all the help folks. I really appreciate everything. The orthopedic specialist said that I have a herniated disk that is probably pressing on a nerve.... wow... this is funny since the occupational health doctor that my job sent me to cleared me to return to work..Huh??? Folks I am stressed and depressed at this point. My situation is leading me toward failure, so believe me when I express my gratitude for your help. Without the help, the track would fail this year so thank you all for any aid. I am going for a M.R.I. in the a.m. and it may be necessary for me to have surgery to correct my ailment. Folks if you have any hope for this track don't give up... as my situation improves, and I am able to bring my visions and efforts together, this track shall be what I always knew it could be... successful.

Ouch. Sorry to hear. I am going through something similar as I have two herniated discs in my neck, though I've only had 'flare ups' twice now. Non medicinal treatment is usually stretching and muscles (toning) so in theory the muscles can push the torn discs back into place and not have them touch the nerve. Inversion tables are supposed to really help (those things that you flip upside down on). THAT SAID, all the people that I have known with herniated discs in their backs have opted for surgery - IE fusing the discs - which is quick, routine and no physical therapy afterwards and VERY quick recovery. Everyone feels like new people afterwards.

So I guess all I'm trying to say is that it sucks now, but once they fix you it should go quick and you should be good to go!

Hang in there!

JUST A QUICK UPDATE. WE WERE ABLE TO OBTAIN SIFTED, WHITE, CLAY THAT PACKS LIKE MODELING CLAY. IT ROLLS OUT NICE AND SMOOTH. ABSOLUTELY NO ROCKS AT ALL. HIRED A MAN TO RUN THE SKID LOADER TODAY. MOVED CLAY INTO POSITION OF CERTAIN PARTS. JACK JUST RAN THE ROLLER ON A LITTLE PART AND IT IS SMOOTH. DUSTAN FINISHED GRINDING THE CONTAINER AND IT IS READY FOR PAINT. JACK HAS STARTED THE RAILING. HOPE TO FINISH RAIL TOMORROW. HAVE ANOTHER GUY COMING TO RUN THE SKID TO PUT JUMPS IN. CAN'T WAIT TIL WE FIND OUT IF GARLAND HAS TO HAVE SURGERY. IT HAS US ALL WORRIED. BUT, HE HAS TO TAKE CARE OF HIMSELF FIRST.
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL SOON. ROBIN

Robin, do you have any spray guns for the container? I have some that would work. What do you have in mind for paint? I'll have time on my hands if the Government shuts down next week!

That sounds good as long as the weather cooperates. We have some sprayers. Hopefully they work. We have acrylic paint for the container. If you dont have to work we always appreciate any help. Thanks.

This is a model of my proposed layout... probably gonna add and remove some things. Ideas? Thoughts? Questions? By the way this model was made from the clay we had delivered.

Hi Gary, That would be great if you could bring them and help out. We are going to try and get some paint on it this weekend (if it doesn't rain). We are hoping to get the railings finished and ready for paint, too.
Thanks again, Robin

Kind of looks like raw cookie dough. Did you try tasting it?
