Default RC racing in Oklahoma

Looking at possibly opening an RC track in OKlahoma City.

Before we put out a bunch of money, is there is big RC following in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas?

What kind of tracks would you guys like to see?

Thanks for the info and details will folow shortly.....

Dirt Oval, On-road, Off-road. Heck man, whatever you build we'll race. Heck, maybe even some On-road carpet.

Well oval is very well covered. So I'd say indoor onroad and offroad.

Was thinking about an oval and offroad, both dirt????? I know there are a couple of tracks here, but looking to see what people wanted. I am not to sure about an onroad course, but I have seen the dirt oval at Competitiona RC, and it is pretty cool, but what about an off road layout?

I'm a noob to rc in OKC, but would love to see an indoor off-road track open up again.

What ever happened to that indoor track that was located just off I-40 and Meridian? I can't remember the name of it.

Action RC has nitro offroad covered in OKC. The track hosted the 2003 RC Pro Finals, the 2003 ROAR Nitro Offroad Nationals and hosts a south regional RC Pro event every year. The track is large (approx 200 x 120) and is designed for 1/8 scale, UMT and MT.

Enid has an indoor facility with 3 tracks under 1 roof. They have a concrete road course, dirt offroad track, and a dirt oval.

That one off meridian was RCRC. It moved to I35 in Moore then closed in fall of 98. Back in those days we would hit RCRC and then hit Comp in the same day. Twice the racing.

Is Competition R/C still around, racing on that cement? I haven't been there since I moved to KS 6 years ago. Didn't Skidmore used to race there?

Man, I forgot about RCRC. I think that was the largest indoor offroad track I've ever seen. And packed, too. Why did they close, it seemed so busy.

Rick and Steve had alot of other stuff going on and got burnt out I think. Comp is still there, they run oval outdoor and indoor. I miss running sedan there. Yeah Skid is racing strong. If there is a national event on, most likely here is there.

If you find any on-road nitro in eastern or southern OK then post it on here. I got a couple of buds that live for 1/8th scale on road.
