Default Legends March Madness Race

Bring one bring them all!!!!! Legends at The Strand R/C Raceway lets pack the track with Legends...cash prize award to the winner!!!! March 12th doors open at 9:00am racing starts at 12:15...Getem and wipe the Dust of them...Drive them like ya stole em!! Track is a 112ft run line legend rules apply
Spec Batteries with tamiya ends
21-22 tooth steel pinions

Spec tires
Spec Motors
Bushings no bearings
Red springs in the front
Must maintain wheelbase on bolth side to keep the symetrical !
1. The first rule is that if the rules do not specifically state that you can do something, YOU CANNOT DO IT!
2. Absolutely no changes to the configuration of the chassis or cutting on the chassis parts. No replacement parts of graphite or other higher tech materials.

3. Any location of receiver and speed control on top of battery plate is allowed. Steering servo may be remounted on front axle plate. or under the optional long battery tray (BL-5242-L).

4. No changes In steering blocks, axles or springs. Shims are allowed on springs to stiffen front ends. May also add front kingpin brace to help prevent breakage of the front axle plate. May put a washer behind the E-clip on the axle, to stop It from pulling through.

6. Original front bumper must remain on car.

7. No ball bearings allowed anywhere on the car, except inside servos. No modifications to oilite bushings In any way.

8. No changes allowed to rear axle or differential. No ceramic or carbide diff balls or drive rings allowed. No 64 pitch gears -- must use original type 48 pitch spur gear (81 tooth). No liteweight rear axles. No thrust bearings allowed, except one in the diff assembly.

9A. No change in molded rear hubs (no custom machined substitutes).

10. Only genuine R/C LEGENDS bodies are allowed as replacement. No changes allowed from trim lines, except for 1/4' tolerance around wheels. Body must be painted & all windows clear, or cut out.

12. No rollover or stiff wire antennas allowed. Antenna may be mounted inside on clear plastic mount for small tracks.

15. Must use correctly labeled R/C LEGENDS or Street Spec 4 cell battery pack. Battery pack must remain In original position, down center of chassis.
16A. Must use original equipment pinion (21 or 22 tooth) and BoLINK 81 tooth spur gear.

19. RACE LENGTH: races should be set at 5 or 6 minutes. This gives the driver who makes one small error, or gets hit, a little more time to catch up.

20. TRACK SIZE: LEGENDS can be run on any size R/C track. but If you're setting one up. we recommend making the track fairly short, so that driving the turns is more important than the top speed on the straight-aways.

REMEMBER: If the rules DO NOT SAY YOU CAN DO IT, it is NOT LEGAL. You may wish to change some rules for your local racing, but remember - the more rules that are changed, the more difficult it will become to check the cars and the farther you will get from the concept we need: to GET new people and KEEP them In R/C racing.
BoLINK's R/C LEGENDS are of a simple, strong design to create a class of racing that is inexpensive, yet challenging enough for fun racing - and if the rules are kept the same everywhere, racers will be able to go from track to track easily.
