Would racers be interested in doing a monthly club race at the Rendon track?? This would be open to electric, nitro, and gas onroad. There are some cutouts in the track that can be used to shorten the track for electric racing, especially for 21.5 and 25.5 brushless motored cars. For nitro and gas, it would be the same classes that are also run in the SWCS. You can post your interest on the thread or through PM.

If we can get the ball rolling, which day would racers prefer to run: Saturday or Sunday?

Fellas, I have gotten feedback from only a very small group of guys wanting to club race in the DFW area. As large as the DFW area is, it is hard to believe that only a half dozen guys want to race onroad outdoors on a dedicated track built for that purpose. Texas 5 and RCRCNT would like to get monthly club racing going in our area but we are going to need some more racers dedicated to come out and have some fun. We are looking to entertain electric, nitro, and gas cars so no one is left out of the racing action.

I'd be there in a heart beat if it were on my days off (oil field). I'm gone half the month but when I'm home I hit banana, indy, and RCSS all the time for club races. Rcrcnt is 5 miles from my house so I'd be there in a heartbeat.

I'm just getting back into r/c cars, so I'm not much help right now. I'm currently trying to decide if I want to build my old car back up to current standards or buy a new car. Either way, I haven't driven in years so I'll need ample practice time to feel like my skills are even good enough to step onto the track with other racers. I'd love to have some tracks to practice on though, and would love to get into some races eventually if I get good enough to run with everyone else. Take it for what it's worth, as I'm a while out still, but love the idea of having a racing club when I do get to that point.

Next Saturday, July 22nd, Texas 5 and RCRCNT will have a "Test n Tune" day our at the track in Rendon. Anyone coming out will have to have current ROAR membership and it will be an admission fee of $10. The track will be available from 9am until at least 3pm. So, if you are wanting some track time before the next SWCS race at Rendon (July 29 and 30), this would be a good opportunity to get some laps in and get those cars fine tuned.
