What happened in regards to this project taking shape and opening up? It has been very quiet in regards to the status of the track build. Has it been put on hiatus until spring or did it hit some snags with zoning/the city?

I'm wondering the same thing. I was pretty excited to hear about this place. I really hope the original poster of this thread will come back on here and post some updates.

If you find one, let me know. I have lived between McKinney and Greenville for 12 yrs and havent found anything. The Mckinney one was exciting to hear about. But rumors have it the project has been scrapped.

There use to be an offroad r/c track with a r/c drag strip track just south of Greenville just on the southern outskirts. It closed up shop several years ago. I think the place is now a tattoo shop if it hasn't closed or went out of business. I haven't heard of anything opening up in that area since Dry Creek (I think that was the name of the shop and racetrack) closed.

Now you see what happens when you jump the gun without making sure all the ducks are in a row. That is why one should make sure that all city permits are obtained, it is okay zone-wise, and that one has city/county approval in place before advertising that they are building a track. Remember, building a track is the easy part, playing politics/political games with the city/county is the hard part.
