Default B.B.R.C. - August Planning - SAT RACE

Ok, I promised Heath we'd get a Saturday race this year....August it shall be.

The ROCCK website shows KSLR as racing on AUG 6th and AUG 20th...
Harmony Hills shows they are racing the same days....
Not sure about Dalton or any ROCCK Road Trip plans in the mix....

So currently it is looking like either SAT the 13th or SAT the 27th for afternoon/evening race-a-palooza at Run A Muck in Newport.

Feel free to chime in on 13th or 27th for next month and we'll lock it down and get it on the calendars.

27th but if you guys would rather stay on Sundays, go ahead, it's cool.

I can bring the AMB on a Sat. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it on a Sunday again.

As far as I know, either day works for me. I may end up with a camping trip one weekend in August though.

We like to run Saturdays when we can, anyhow. It's just a challenge sometimes with the other tracks and schedules.

That's good, make sure that buggy of yours is ready to ROCCK because Bear now has a 4.1, Daniel will bring his b4, Kvegas 4.1, my goldie, and who knows what else is gonna show up for the 2wd buggy class!!

We'll probably put in a "Novice/Brushed" class in AUG for the kids/newer drivers, too, so if the kids wanna break out that dusty old Rustler or Stampede that you've got in the garage, bring it on.

NICE!!!

But if Heath and Kenny are racing with us on the 27th, and you happen to win at the Nationals in CT and you didn't have to beat them to win up there, is it legitimate? Probably not in the eyes of the ROCCK!!!!!! hahahaha. Nationals Champ with an asterisk!!!!

It really kinda looks like the 27th at this point, but awesome that we'll have someone racing in the nationals, for sure!!

Pretty soon it will be snowing so hush...also, you need to show up at Karns once in a while to get your racing fix.

Gonna see if we can get some SWAG from our friends down in FLA at Boca Bearings for the race. Not sure on that one yet, waiting to hear back from them.

Currently it looks like racing late afternoon/evening with the lights if that's good for everyone??
Frees up SAT morning to do the family thing and won't have to try to race in the heat of the day...

Thinking we'll open up and kick around at noon for those that want to be there that early to do some tuning, but not start actual racing until 4pm, so a 3pm sign in, 4pm starting time sound good??

Figure the following.
2 brackets (at least) for 2wd Open SCT
2wd Open 1/10 buggy
4wd SCT
1/8 ebuggy/nitro buggy.
Novice Class???
Would love to have a Novice/Beginners class, run what ya brung, too.
My daughter Alley is 10, she runs a 17t brushed stadium truck, but she has only raced one heat in her life as we got rained out last time. Figure if we can get 3 or 4 novice drivers, it'd be a fun race for them since they wouldn't have the pressure of running with experienced drivers with brushless rigs.

5 min qualifiers, 8 minute mains.
