Default Knoxville area ON-ROAD Gatherings

Some of the RC enthusiast on this forum have been getting together and running some ON-ROAD rc's at the Fellowship Church, 8000 Middlebrook Pike. It's the Church with the green roof.
We put some DOTS out and drive. Electric, Gas, buggies, SC trucks, on-road off road, even motorcycles... run what you bring.
Were looking into getting some pipe to outline a nicer course. Maybe even a transponder.
We'll use this thread to announce a gathering.
Leave your phone # either here or in a PM, and we'll keep you in the loop.

I'm up for it.
I Don't have any "built for on-road" vehicles, but I am not against running the SC10 on the losi Mini DT on road. That's pretty much where they have lived the past 2 months without a dirt course.

could be fun.. I have an old rc10L and a ntc3.. also a trinity street spec roller I would let go fairly cheap if someone needed it..

We could also build some jumps outta wood and carpet.. Instead of pipe we could use waterhose.. If everyone brings a set with them that should be plenty.

I say setup a drift course. So we can all sing, "Pants on the Ground".

Think it would be fun. Controlled chaos.

I contacted one of the Associates there, He was OK with the idea. Gave him my contact info.
I might call him a see if they have a large carpeted room not being used all the time.

Default road course barriers

Julio and I have been working on some road course barriers for the parking lot. We should have something done for the 1st Sunday of Feb. We could possibly have a transponder in place as well!
I'll keep you posted.
We have about 15 racers interested!

Anyone running 1/5 scale nitro bikes? A friend of mine and I have just started running them and they are a blast but there is not to many good smooth lots to run them. The best place we have found yet for them is at harden vally academy on sunday afternoons. How is that church lot? I would love to see the bikes pick up around here they're awesome!!!

I couldn't do it. I miss my bike as it is. I would 1:1 less than a week, hehehe.

Default On Road gathering Today

Syd,

Bring that TC. We got batteries, chargers, and whatever you need to get on the road.

1/5 scale motorcycle guy,

I'd love to see that thing run. I found a nitro version on you tube.

The weather will be great!

See you at 3pm.
