Hey Jeff, if you're in the Newport area on SUN 14th it appears that is when our monthly club get-together is probably going to be.
Newport isn't too far from Pigeon Forge, etc.
We race short course trucks, but anything is welcome to come play for sure.

Bear's "Run-A-Muck" is one of east TNs best kept RC not-so-secrets. haha.

Default Thank You

Thank you, we most likely would have been able to make it to that.....

However. We just found out my wife may be out of a job as of
January 1st.... "Happy New Year"

Sooooo, we will still be looking at East TN for a retirement area, but we
are going to put off this trip for a little while till we see what comes
down-the-pike.....

Hope to see you all soon, Jeff

I worked outside in Knoxville for 14 years, as a mason Tim so I for one know it gets colder than that, because of the rule's that say 32 and rising before we can lay brick, I have spent alot of time in the winter at home because of days below freezing.
Whens the last time you worked outside in the winter?
I live 45 min. from Halls

Spent 20+ years in HVAC. I worked in freezing cold temps installing units. I didn't stay at home when it was too cold to lay block. I was laying duct on new construction jobs and dropping in outdoor units. I know all about the cold. Maybe not northern cold but we are not talking northern cold here.

we moved here from WNY state 4 years ago. I studied the area intensely. We came here cold turkey and have had great success. I would love to give you any assistance I can in your relocation.

It is a very nice back yard track, mostly Corr trucks. Laps free scoring system. It is about 10-15 minutes from the Newport/Gatlinburg exit off of I40. Not advanced planning anything else til spring, but if a really nice weekend comes up they will throw something together last minute. For some pics and other info http://www.hobzob.com/groups/view/id..._bones_rc_club

Thanks KnowVegas. My security software doesn't like that web page very much. Know the general area your talking about. Do a lot of cycle riding around the whole area when the weather is good. I'll look here for post on next spring races, and should be able to get to some if I know ahead of time.
Thanks again, and have a Safe, Happy Holiday season.
