Yup you missed it.

Hello Team!

I got a new V7.1 installed in Gunnar's buggy in time for Friday's race #5 of 7 in the series. He ran good in qualifing but took a surprising 4th out of five.

The first main he ran good with a couple of wrecks and I thought he was in second but he was listed as 4th again... Now something doesn't seem right.

The second main I kept a close eye on his position and was running first and was being called as fourth! Then I noticed his transponder wasn't registering every time over the line. HIS TRANSPONDER WASN'T WORKING! I told the RD and he watched and said "yup, it's broken. I'll fix the count after the race."
After the recount, he got first.

The third main Gunnar used a different transponder. Had a good run with one or two bobbles and had a significant battle for first at the end. Didn't quite make it and got second.

Overall he got the win though and is still on top in the points chase!
My race interesting too, but I'm done typing right now.

Exclamation Officially uNoFfICiAL" HPI Challenge sponsored by.....

Hey guys, I wanted to announce that Full Throttle will be sponsoring the HPI Challange race this year!!! This is going to be a huge event. We are asking that all team drivers that can possibly make it up to the race attend. It should be an entertaining weekend event. The dates are September 30th and October 1st. There are all the normal HPI only classes, plus 1 Open Chassis 19Turn Class and 1 Open Chassis mod Nitro class. We are really excited to be part of this event. I know that me, Fred, Kaybo, Ceci will all be there. For more info check out his "Officially uNoFfICiAL" HPI Challenge Thread under the Racing section

This is from the RC Pimp himself and race director extrodinare, Mr Ray Murray:

These classes would be per the '05 Challenge rules....
Micro Pro
Electric Pro
Nitro Stock
Super Nitro

These would be the "open chassis" classes....
Nitro Modified
Pro Touring (19T, as per ORL2 rules)

The Pro Touring Sedan class is the most popular in our area and would be a sIcK cLaSs....

As mentioned before, I would make note of the HPI cars in the "open classes"
and score them according to how well they do in the class overall.

The entry will be the standard "club" fees of $12. (2/$20)

Hey Ryan, Bill probably didnt get to it. I spoke with him tonight for a few and he just got back from a family emergency in FL. Everything is looking good now so give him a day or two and he will get back to you.

You ready for vegas boy???

Any chance you will be able to hit the HPI race? It's the weekend after Vegas, which I know might be tough for ya.

Hey any of you out of towner's needing a place to crash can get in touch with me and if my place fills up to fast I will call the next local team guy and see whats up. I know theres at least 4 of us less than an hour a way.
