Just returned form the RROC at the Tamyia facility in southern California. Competition was tuff and everyone brought there A game this year… Congratulations to Josh Newman, taking the win in the open mod class, Peter Rodinson taking the win in spec 19 and Congratulations to Craig Dresher for his awesome performance in the invitational class to take the overall win…
Overall the week went quite well for my self and the DC Motor Sports team, taking the wins in the B and C open mod mains.
Jeff Brown (from Corally USA) and Ryan Lee (from much more racing Korea) were both in the B main. In the end Ryan took the win in the B by about ½ a straight away over second place….Both Jeff and Ryan used our UL 7x1 XXX series modified motors to power there cars (timing set at 12 degrees, geared at a 8.66:1 FD ratio)…
Unfortunately I had a bit of bad luck battling glitiching problems that persisted all week long. I managed to qualified 8th in the C main with one decent run and, well, one not so clean qualifier… I decided to use our UL 8x1 XXX series modified motor as my car had a slight understeer (timing set at 18 degrees, geared at a FD ratio of 8.1:1)…..

Curtis,
Sorry I haven't had a chance to get on here sooner.
I've been running your motors in offroad truck and buggy lately and they are great. I've been running the v2 cans/arm. I've gotten a 1st and a couple of 2nds. I'm mainly an onroad guy so trying to keep up with the diehard offroad guys is a challenge. I need all the horsepower I can get and I have it
I also tried out one of the UL 19 arms and they scream. The spool up quick in onroad touring... What's the typical gearing on these arms??? about a tooth or two less than a standard 19?
Thanks,
Michael Skeen

Rob: What up dude, I heard you were rippin it up this weekend
Kumpol: Ryan seemed to be very happy with the power. He always had a smile on his face as he come over to drop the motor off for servicing
