Eric, I see you'll be racing at the Canadian Onroad Nationals. That's awesome! Good luck sir.

I'm curious. Which shell has been produced/sold the most and how many have been made?
I would guess Mazdaspeed6, but I have no idea and certainly no idea about how many might have been made. Under 50K, over 500K? No clue.
Locked, Yes I originally was going to race a Mark Frechette-Prepared car in VTA but alas, I have a trip scheduled out west to Pro-Line HQ that conflicts with the date. I do plan on getting myself a new TC and re-immersing myself very soon though!

You're absolutely correct on the Mazdaspeed6, by far the best selling PROTOform body we've ever had. You may have noticed that many of the logos/part #s on the body have become more faint/subtle over years since the mold for the MS6 is getting a bit worn out! It's actually had to go in for repairs a couple times.

Hey Eric, It was good to meet you and your dad at the Snowbird Nationals last week. I am super excited about the upcoming VTA body that you described. Where can I pre-order six of those VTA bodies?

The VTA project is still in its infancy with no set release date scheduled. Once I get a better idea of completion I will let you know! Thanks for your interest.

Here's a thought ...
Since these 2 bodies are so very similar; (1) 1970 Chevy Camaro SS, and (2) 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am ....

... would it be possible to make one car body with 2 different noses so that a VTA racer could choose to make it either a '70 Camaro SS or a '71 Pontiac F.B. TA?

IMHO, that would be AWESOME!

^ This ...

... is absolutely genius! I can imagine buying one VTA shell that could be made a '70 Camaro or a '71 Pontiac TA. I want to pre-order the first 30 right now! Who should I send my money to?

Hi Eric, thanks for your response. If it can make your job any easier, I will send you my 1/10 scale plastic (Nikko) 1971 Pontiac Trans-Am car at no cost to you.

Just send me a mailing address.

OK, it was a little amusing when you had three RCTech accounts and quoted yourself; but this is taking it too far. Calling yourself a genius?

Any chance that we could see a WGT Viper (or something along those lines)?

Default Protoform body suggestion

Dear Protoform,
Please make a WGT and/or USGT legal Protofab Camaro body http://www.historictransamimsa.com/M.../protofab.html
With proper headlight/tailight/grille decals. I know someone makes/made this but its either hard to find or simply too big. Even though I race primarily short course, I would buy at least 3 in a heartbeat.

Kind regards,

A loyal Protoform customer

ps. Chevy Sonic for the Traxxas Rally please

I would rather see the GA spec Camaro for WGT but that Protofab car would be pretty awesome in USVTA or USGT
