Congrats to Getchell--"[so and so--insert name here] is better than I am on asphalt." Whatever... Good run, Robbie. Getchell is so slow on asphalt. Nice run, Klingon.

So, what all happened with this "zoo"?

Anthony- gimme a call dude, it can't last forever. If it broke any CF chassis components let me know, Tag said he would replace with his stock T2 stuff.

Default Komoto Dragon- First week results

Just an update for you guys who will be running the dragon 19T on asphalt. These motors tend to like less gear than the C2, and way less gear than the Atlas motors. Hitting the gear wrong on the dragons seems to abuse the motor from heat more so than the previos motors.

results- We ended up using a 6.25 on a fairly large asphalt track, there the C2 would have been around a 5.9-6.0. I would strongly recommend using a fan with these as well. The performance was great, they just seem to run a little hot. BUT, it was 90 deg and track temp of 128-130 here yesterday. Even though the motors got hot and needed to be cut every run, they did not fade at the end of the race, and were just as fast on the last lap.

Tags, I still won't jump off the bridge...

Tweak, call me when you get a chance. Got some good news for ya.

And my weekend was awesome. 8th scale buggy is unreal. It almost makes touring car racing seem too easy. I qualified 3rd for the A on my first weekend out ( Larry qualified 7th in the C - tons of stupid problems). What is cool about 8th scale, Larry won the C and the B to bump his way into the A main. Can't do that in touring car. I ended up finishing 7th in the A due to my lack of brain control. Larry finished 8th.

1. Entry fee for the day - $15
2. New Air filters for basically every run - $20
3. Rushing to start Larry's car cuz he can't tune an engine - Priceless

Sorry Larry, had to do it.

Regardless of how much it costs to get a good 8th scale buggy together, it is worth every penny.

Still, no one has explained what the heck the zoo has to do with Tag at the track this weekend.

Is that like comparing Tag to an ape driving an R/C car or something? Someone elaborate...
