Now stick with me here...just straight up the brush was 'ok'...so I came back skimed the comm and trimmed the trailing edge of the brushes...got a little better. Then I came back, and pulled a "TK", and trimmed the leading edge also. Oh man! I was blown away with how much power it made...I took it off after a couple of practice runs and looked at the brushes and the comm...spotless. Ended up running them for the rest of the night (4 races) and the comm and brushes were still ready to go, although the brushes were starting to wear a bit. I think the ticket with it is to get the gearing just right and not overheat the motor. Ofcourse that may be b/c I race on such a small track.

Just mho.

Thanks TK. I've tried the XXX brushes before, was impressed by them so long as you run them in for over 20mins or they take a lot of races to get their act together. I've heard of some get 45 runs on a small indoor track with hardly any wear! Another brush that is supposed to be good indoors is the H1 (dominator), very hard to get hold of at the moment but you can get a good 15 runs out of them. It's only indoor racing over here at the moment so I won't be using any stupid ratios, probably 7 as the max, so that should improve wear.
Thanks
