Has anyone tried 767s in the monster? I tried some the other day and compared to f-lines they seemed pretty good, not as much low-down torque though. It was hard to tell coz I was on a very tight indoor track, but top end seemed very good. Just wonderin what peopler think, as for club racing the cost of f-lines do add up! Just looking for a longer lasting alternative.
Cheers

I might be the wrong person to listen too but here goes. 767's give good overall power but you have to watch motor temp. Everyone here says they only get 1-2 runs on a set but I always seem to get way more. My motors get stronger the more they run. As long as the brushes don't change colors I will keep using them. I do have to skim the com every few runs though. I think the ticket will be the X1's are going to be the way to go, I just haven't gotten around to ordering any yet. I still have a few sets of F Brushes left to burn through.

Ali- I know this might sound a little "weird" but I try some pretty "weird" stuff at the track on weekends, anyways...I have been running X1's, F's, and 767's...but I got bored and tried some XXX's. Now stick with me here...just straight up the brush was 'ok'...so I came back skimed the comm and trimmed the trailing edge of the brushes...got a little better. Then I came back, and pulled a "TK", and trimmed the leading edge also. Oh man! I was blown away with how much power it made...I took it off after a couple of practice runs and looked at the brushes and the comm...spotless. Ended up running them for the rest of the night (4 races) and the comm and brushes were still ready to go, although the brushes were starting to wear a bit. I think the ticket with it is to get the gearing just right and not overheat the motor. Ofcourse that may be b/c I race on such a small track.

Just mho.

I found the same to be true recently as well. Interesting...

TK - thanks for fielding that.

Our guys are looking really good at the Novak right now: Strasnick speeds are on pace for top 5 in stock, Melton said his car is really good in 19T and Darroch's times are top 3 to top 5 in mod right now.

Tag and the guys were out to dinner last night and sounded like they were having a great time.

Just another note to y'all: the new XA-19SS and XA-27SS (tuned new Atlas 19TSS & 27TSS) will be available to the public very soon.

Schreff and Fairtrace have been testing them as well and have been dominating with the 19T at Horsham. Look for them to be released to the general public in the next two weeks.

Also, keep on the lookout for the Checkpoint 19Ts. They're scheduled to arrive for tuning very, very soon.

You can PM Tag for more information or contact him directly at jtag@tmxpress.net. He'll be returning Monday from the Novak Race.

Jon- Are you making it down for Mimi's race next weekend? I'm going in today to reserve the Team's pit spaces.
