Well I got drafted in to run an offroad meet over the weekend for the first time in about a year. It was the North Island Champs (Second largest offroad meeting in the country).
I was doing things a little rough on Saturday during qualifying but still managed to put both cars in the A main (2WD mod and 4WD mod). I had qualified 7th in 2WD and 2nd in 4WD mod. (Had a good run in the last qualifier of 4WD)
Then came the finals. The first 2WD race I came third after getting caught up at the start and falling way back. Was last for the first 3 laps.
From there on I won all the remaining 5 finals for 2WD and 4WD. So I ended up winning both titles, yippee.
I was running an Associated B4 and a brand new Tenth Technology X10 in 4WD (it was an absolute rocket and even handled a very bumpy and dusty track very well)
The eXpress Motorsports batteries was flawless all weekend and gave me an absolute ton of power.
One very happy camper here.
North Island on road champs next weekend. Bring it on.
