Mark S. - Hey about those tires at Mod Nats. I heard that maybe they were gonna change the way they prep the track. Is there any truth to that? I hope not cause I was raised racing on a track with Red IFMARS and Directionals. I got that stuff down pact.

Lemme know...

Tag - Dude! You know I'm pround anytime that someone breaks out the offroad stuff...Everyone should run offroad atleast 1 time in their life...its all it takes to get you hooked.

Great day of racing today at the Alpine! I qualified 3rd and ended up finishing 2nd. 1 more min and I would have cought the leader. Damm that mike Ivy! He's sure does run a tight line I had no where to pass him!
Happy Fathers day to all!!

John and Brandon, I had a great time racing with you guys in Easley yesterday. Hope you can make it down again sometime. John, I was impressed with the performance of your motors and batteries- especially with Brandon's triple 20 lap runs during the heats. The racers at Easley realize the lack of traction issue, and we've tried to address it the last few weeks with sugar water and grape soda. The verdict is still out as to whether or not the traction additive is useful or not. John, I wish you better luck if you make it down for the trophy race in a few weeks. Hope to see you there.

Brandon- let me know if any Saturday races come up this summer at the Durham track. I'd like to make it up there sometime before the Nationals.

Thanks,
Brian

Professor,

Your track doesn't have much traction, but it is such a fun track. For me it was actually a great track to start out the asphalt season with. It helps you with throttle control. Anyway, Hope to make it out there on July 2nd.

Brian (professor)- I think the grape soda helped in sections where it was poured on and really dark, but everywhere that was misted went away early. I think the biggest thing is the asphalt is pitted from age. What that does is causes the soda to "fall between the cracks" and not stay on top of the racing surface. The tire doesn't actually touch where the soda ends up, except where it's really thick. But like Jairo said, it's still a really fun track, so don't think that the lack of bite keeps people from coming . See you guys sometime mid/late July.

Congrats, guys. Nice runs at the Alpine Lounge.

Wish we could've been there, but Freddy and I both had Father's Day duties to attend to. Maybe next year.

Yeah Ray Murray was Great. He fit in 4 rounds of qaul!!! that was fun. too bad on my fastest run of the day (the 4th qual) I had a wheel come off. Just before the race I noticed a tire coming unglued and I swapped it out real quick and I guess I didnt tighten it. Rookie mistake
