Hey, all. We'll have tons of motors and batteries with us at Mimi's and the Frederick track in Maryland. Hopefully, Mimi will be taking a good amount of cells and motors for all to purchase through the store.

I'll be at the asphalt track in Frederick testing the FK05 and getting ready for asphalt season. I'll have motors and batteries there as well.
Jon,

Save me three batts and a 19T motor. Thanks.

Welcome back tag...

The reason that 64 pitch might be more difficult with the new T1FT'05 is that the spur is so close to the ground now....you didn't need to worry about rocks on the 04 because the spur was way up on the bulkhead. 48 pitch is probably the anwer now as it's a stronger tooth.... Guess I need to stock up on a bunch of 48 PRS pinions for outdoor season!

Good luck this weekend...i'll be looking out the window at the rain and building my 05. And I did put the PRS 120 on there... It sits flush with the bottom of the chassis and does not stick out.... It might work well indoor on really flat carpet, but that's about it I'm afraid.

John

I actually ran Schumacher outside, I was just commenting on why you would want to run 64 pitch. I cant decide what touring car to get. Im leaning towards AE because I want shaft drive. I saw the IRS prototype TC4 and it looks amazing. Mike Mulherin has one that he is going to be testing out. If anyone sees him running please go look at it....oh and give him some stickers too

Bob - If you get the TC4 check out the BMI conversion.. It's in stock now and the hot ticket. Schreffler is doing awesome with it...said it calms down the twitchyness of the stock car.

Barrys - Yup. I just finished reading the article. As I'm sure you agree, it's not exactly quality journalism, but it supports my conclusions thank you very much. I would agree wholeheartedly with the simple fact that the IB cells really are lousy cells.

I've got a test case here that is the most inconsistent case of cells I've ever come across. The fluctuation between cells is amazing. You've got one cell that's a 470, 1.180 and then another cell that's a 418, 1.150.

Not only that, but these things vent and hiss like I've never seen. I've also cycled through them and they lose runtime hand over fist. You'll lose 70 seconds of runtime in 5 cycles. It's crazy. We're not even bothering with these cells. Also, on the track, the cells simply don't feel as strong. The numbers are kinda not reflective of what's really going on with them when under load.

The GP3700s are on their way. I'm calling our distributor today and see what our availability is. I'm telling you though, for stock in particular, the 33s are still amazing cells. GP knows how to make consistent, stellar cells.
