Sold off a bunch off stuff I wasnt using anymore! Couldnt hold onto the money for long. Good news is I got a whole lot of new toys coming. The Killshots got people interested at the track! Once gears and timing get totally figured out and they almost are. I think they will be the new show stopper!

Default Off road protection

How do the off road racers handle the dirt getting into the motors like the Kill Shot with those big vents?
Thanks and God Bless

We have no reported issues to date with dirt from the extra vents or vent size. Our drivers that are running then are liking the HT version. That's for 2wd and SCT 17.5 classes.

John, are they using the motor I have which is the high torque stator/12.3mm torque rotor? Or are they using the 12.5mm torque rotor?

I'll probably pick up another 17.5 motor in a few months for my 2WD buggy as the indoor season gets underway.

Hey Dan...

Right now 2wd there a bunch running the HT motor with 12.3 rotor for great low end power and not too much to increase wheel spin . SCT is a Mix of motors some std HT motors and guys on the shorter tracks are using the HT rotors. Pretty much a big mix still.

Car and motor are dialed now. I ran the torque version again today w/12.3 rotor! This motor was ballistic with the combination of new Revtech batteries from express! Looking forward to running the Beast with my spare car.

Hey all....

Great new's the war is finally over...
THE LEGAL BATTLE IS FINALLY OVER...READ ON...

PRESS RELEASE

Trincorp Reaches Settlement Agreement with Remotely Operated Auto Racers.

JUNE 24, 2013 – WASHINGTON, DC – Trincorp, LLC, along with three other companies (Fantom Racing, Team EAM Inc, and Putnam Propulsion), have reached a settlement with Remotely Operated Auto Racers (ROAR) to resolve all outstanding issues regarding the removal of the Trinity D3.5/17.5 motor from the ROAR approved list.

The parties were able to reach a settlement without either party admitting or conceding any liability for claims raised in the lawsuit after Mr. Ernest Provetti of Trincorp, LLC was able to personally meet with ROAR’s President, Mr. Steve Mruk. At that meeting, the parties agreed that the interests of the individual racers. who purchased the Trinity D3.5/17.5 motor after ROAR initially approved the motor, should take priority in structuring the settlement. Accordingly, the parties crafted the terms of the agreement in order to provide a meaningful opportunity for those racers who had purchased the Trinity D3.5/17.5 motors to actually race the motors in ROAR sanctioned races for a specified period of time.

Under the terms of the agreement, the TRINITY D3.5/17.5 Trinity motor will be reinstated on the ROAR approved list on July 1, 2013 and will remain on that list though the first quarter of 2014, upon the release of the new TRINITY D4/17.5, when it will be removed. Trincorp has guaranteed this will occur before March 30, 2014.

ROAR, a non-profit organization staffed by unpaid volunteers, is a sanctioning body, which operates for the benefit of the racers. The ROAR Executive Committee is committed to improving it operations through a set of measures which are intended to become effective within the next ninety days. The operational changes are as follows:

ROAR will reinstate an independent testing laboratory for product evaluation and testing by September 1, 2013.

Now we have a few great motor choices to choose from....Between the KIll Shot motors and the D3.5 based motors the selection of power for tracks is endless. Why bring a water gun to a gun fight when you can be prepared with what in our bag of tricks!!!!

Shirts will be in house Friday!!!

We have always allowed the d3.5 around here so in stock buggy we haven't seen a lot of the kill shots yet. I have been thinking about trying one and was curious how people think it would compare to the 3.5 in a 2wd offroad buggy? Would I be better trying the ht version with a ht rotor or a mix and match scenario?
