Tag the motor is AWESOME. I never thought a FDR of 3.35 would work, but it seems the lower the FDR for 17.5 Non Ramping the motor just comes alive!! Too bad my TCX's front universals did not give me a change to finish a race.
Thank You!

Default D3 17.5 settings

Hi all..
Wanting to use the express D3, 17.5 with the Kinetic esc. Large flowing out door track. We use around 5.8-6.2 FDR...Any start set ups you can help with would be great..
Not sure and dont want to kill either of them..

hi all....i got a secondhand express duo1 17.5...all i can say is it was awesome....and i won the club meet without it going over the 60c mark...
i also got myself a black knight d3 17.5...can't wait to use it...
just one question.....i noticed the d3's timing is almost on max.....do i leave the car the same gearing as the duo1??? also what was the standard timing setting on the duo1's if anyone knows????

thanks in advance...

In not great with info for Novak speedos. I can tell you on Tekinns NON boost 3.3 is avg and with Boost 6.0 is avg there. So iof your Novak is boosted with looking at your past gear the 6.0 would be correct. Just make first run short and check temps. We look for 140* as good race temps.

Great to hear.. Congrats on the win!!!

As far as diffrence from D1 to D# it really depends where D1 was set for timming. Check D1 endbell and see if screws on endbell are in center hole. IF they are I would just drop 1 tooth on pinion to start and make first run and adjust as needed from there. IF endbell is max timming on D1 (endbell all way counter clockwise) run same gearing.

Just always make first run short 3-4 minutes and check temp to ensure.

Hope this helps...

Thats lower timming hole. I would run D3 for Boosted class with motor set at 0* timming. Gearing I would actually run same as D3 will run a bit cooler also.

Just make sure first run is short 3-4 minutes and check temp. %.7-6.0 is very common gear for boosted 17.5. Being your track is probally large and flowing a 5.7 would probally be spot on.

Decals we hope to have more in June.
