Just got back from the 2009 Vintage Off Road Nationals hosted by my local track RCHR in CT. All vehicles had to be produced in or before 1994 and run a 27t motor or a 17.5 brushless.

Express drivers had a good showing at the event. Ther were 71 entries in total. Racers from all over the country were in attendance. 3 of the local Express drivers were able to attend the race.

Here is how we finished....

Joe Glorioso: 2nd place 4wd buggy A Main, started 2nd with a Yokomo YZ10
5th place 2wd buggy A Main, started 4th with a Losi JRX2

Nicky Glorioso (Joe's 10 y/o son): 3rd place A Main Classic, started 3rd with a Tamiya Falcon
2nd place C Main 2wd buggy, started 1st with a Losi JRX2

Ron DePoto: 1st place Stadium Truck B Main, started 1st with an Associated RC10T (missed the A main by less than .08 sec!!!!)
Also won Best Paint in the concorse comp. Pic is attatched.

We ran Express 17.5 Duo's in all our cars. They were fast all day long!!!!

We want to give a big thanks to Tag for the awsome power he supplied us for this event!!!

Definitely a big thanks to Tag for the awesome horsepower. The YZ10 was crazy fast but just too much of a tank to hang with the Cat I was battling with (who also ran MY Express Hp!)
An my JRX2 was by far the fastest 2wd buggy with the most grunt out of the 40 2wd entries...too bad the driver brain farted
Ron had by far the best looking Truck on the track, not only in paint and handling but shear POWER. He had some bad luck in a very deep field. The Express Team was on fire though and the entire field is in real trouble when my boy Nicky run's more off road....I know I'm biased because he is my son but damn, that kid is getting really good!

Hey Shaun..

Well thats a pretty loaded question. Issue is soo many speedo combos out there and driver feel. But I have found myself that less machinal timming and more gear has been really good. On mine I have been running center 5th slash,0* with 4.30 gear in 17.5 with a Tekin Speedo 30 timming boost and 7 on Turbo (mild). I been finding better results with these settings. 13.5 I would do the same and start at 5.35. I been working with a driver in Va and he has felt also that has been helping...
