Hey all...

Yea I feel a ton better internally now. Just need to heal my open wounds from surgery. They removed staples monday and that went well for most part. I had 1 section they left open as fluid was building up,Monday they had to open 1 more small section also to help drain fluid. That helps the healing process. I now have 2 open wounds one 3" other 1-1/2 ", Those are open that are packed with gauze and changed daily. They will take 2-3 more weeks to heal naturally. So for now my wife stuff's me after my shower. Not a pleasant thing but all part the healing process. Hopefully I will be back to some light travel soon.....

All orders have been shipped

Im placing next batch duos on Pre-order for next shippment, dealer is in process of move and should be 2-3 weeks. We are also expecting new 40C IP next 2 weeks.....

WoW.. After a few weeks I was finally feeling well enough today to get out of the house for some personal fun time. I went racing and was able to set TQ before the rains came at our Touring track in Easley SC. Felt real good to be out in the fresh air today. Still very sore,But making great progress.......

Hi John,

Is the embedded advance timing of the Trintiy Duo 13.5 I got from you set at 30 degrees?

I am trying to figure out something related to how it interacts with my LRP SPX speedo (set at 8 punch).

Inquiring minds want to know...

Glad you are feeling better.

Thanks.

Bill

Hey Bill....

Motor sent out was set at low timming 10*. Being most racer's now days are running Tekin and LRP speedos with high timming advance in speedo . Low 10* is best spot to run on a DUO based motor. With SPX I would run profile #7 and a 5.0 gear ratio to start. If you turn endbell counter clock wise center hole is 20* and all way counter clockwise is 30*.

Hope this helps

John,

With the profile #8, I am now running 5.2-5.4 gearing. Will try #7 with 5.0 gearing today because I have been on #8 settings since installing SPX's on my cars.

FYI...Pretty much all of this is leading up to me running 13.5 at the Reedy in a few weeks. And I do have a 13.5 motor order in to you.

Many thanks.

Bill

Hey guys,

Just picked up a mint RDX (not a phi) in trade with all the goodies for rubber tire on carpet. Anyone have a good starting set up to run on brand new CRC carpet w/lipo? This car is going to hold me over until I get my Xray...

Does if have the center steering mod? Or the two parallel steering levers?

Headed off to the track.

So your rdx has the standard length front shocks and tower? if so then

Front

17lb front with 40 wt. I ran 3 hole Tamiya pistons but a large two hole corally will work too.

middle or outside upper shock mount. outer lower shock mount.
second to the shortest upper inner camber link.
Medium front roll centers
4* caster blocks
.5* toe out
-1 degree camber

Rear

14lb spring with 25 wt oil. tamiya 3 hole or Corally large two hole.
outer upper and lower shock mounts.
Medium length camber link. upper row second from outside both inner and outer locations.

Medium high rear roll center. 2* rear toe total.
-2 degree camber

That's about all i can remember, lol

Thanks for the info.

Any idea if the Specialized lipo tray for the Phi will work on the RDX?

Hey Tag when are you going to plan another trip Frederick? Want to make sure I have my car ready by then. I hope to be up and running in the next 2 weeks. Can't wait. If your not coming up soon I will send you Paypal for that motor on Friday. Wanted to wait til you got up and going again before I took care of that order.

Is this the same for the 17.5? So the first is 10 degrees not 0?

Thanks,
Rocky
