New ReVtech motors should be in late this week or early next. Anyone going to the nationals they are already ROAR approved and we will have them in mass numbers at the nationals for sale.

New shipment of batteries is due in Thursday as well!

Will the KV ratings of the new Revtech motor be the same as the D3's? Like say 3,600 kv on the 13.5 D3's. Im thinking of getting a D3 soon or should I just wait for the Revtech's?

Hey EA: Nice to see Josh Cyrul and Mike Blackstock back with team Trinity. What did they like to make them switch? Also will there be 550 or 8th size motors in the revtech line? Thanks for the info

Actually Josh is not back with Trinity/ReVtech at this time. Blackstock is running ReVtech/Trinity Motors and is a great addition to the Team.

I am not sure if there will be a 550 Version or not but we are always working on new stuff.

Can someone answer a couple of question's i have with regards to the Batteries as o can't find any information online.

Are the 28c 6000 bullet packs i see listed at Nexus suitable for 17.5 boosted?

http://www.nexusracing.com/product_i...oducts_id=3856

And is there much weight difference between the 28c and 60c packs?

They say they are for spec motors so im hoping they are suitable for 17.5 boosted and come in under the 300 grams my current packs weigh in at. If there is going to be no performance loss compared to the 60c and they weigh less then id definitely be interested in the lighter packs.

Hi,

That pack should be excellent for 17.5 boosted. These cells are by far the best I have ever used.

Weight, I'm not sure maybe EA could comment? Unless you are overweight, I would make sure the car is balanced rather than trying to shave some grams off.

Currently I'm balanced at 1430 grams with a 300 gram lipo. We have just changed to a 1380 weight limit from 1425 so a lighter battery, some re jigging of my electrics and moving the motor inboard should get me balanced again at the lower limit.

We have also just changed from 5 to 6 minute races so I'm hoping the extra mah packs are going to give me less fade in the closing minutes.

The consistency over the entire run is in fact my favorite part of these batteries. Strong all the way through. Fad also depends on gearing, motor, and ESC settings as well

Found the Info i wanted on the Fantom site eventually. At 310 grams my search for a lighter pack is fruitless

Maybe try lightweight screws, lightweight bumper?

I think you are right in moving your electronics. After sitting staring at the layout for awhile, I've been able to figure out ways to get balanced on my car in the past while reducing overall mass. Leverage is powerful! Take 1380g's of car, including any add'l lead weights and move weights more outside to get balanced.

I know this isn't the politically correct thread about weight balance so if you have a sec, shoot me a pic of your current layout via PM.

And P.s. I still highly recommend the RevTech packs. Once I get my hands on the new motors, I think the RevTech motor/battery combo will be the combo to beat !!
