Default Standard Revtech 13.5 vs Killshot 13.5?

I still run a standard Revtech 13.5 motor w/ 12.3 broad power rotor, and I get beat a little bit on the long straight. Are the Killshot more powerful? Or should I pick up an Orca motor? This is for blinky sedan.

Start gearing at 4.4 and the timing at the 3 mark on the + side.

If I read posr correctly, motor is new. I also always check sensor wires but reading your post it does sound like sensor board. You can also check the shimming of rotor. You want about 1mm of shims for spacing on sensor board side and about 1mm of play on pinion side. See article link below:

I ordered 2 motors. A D3.5 17.5 and a D3.5 13.5 both with 12.5 high torque rotor. My question is... My 13.5 weighs 179g & my 17.5 weighs 173g. Is this right? My 13.5 is 6 grams heavier? I just assumed more winds would equals more weight.

Thanks for the help.

Anybody have any experiencing running a 13mm rotor in a 2wd buggy (B4.2)?

I am debating on either running that in my D3.5 since it is not roar approved or swapping motors...

Anybody Tried the R1 Wurks motor or know how it compares in an honest opinion... I have read a lot of thread/topics related to it and both seem great... Just trying to decided if I should sink more money into motors because I just bought two D3.5 before I found this forum and didn't know that they had been ban.

It could be by product of why the 3.5 was banned. Using lighter wire to give it more power. So it would make sense that the motor is lighter as a result.

The 13.5 has 2 strands of 0.724mm wire and 2 strands of 0.574mm wire. The 17.5 has 2 strands of .813mm wire. So 2 strands vs 4 strands is probably most of the weight difference.

The wire in the D3.5 was slightly thicker - and heavier than what would be allowed now. The fastest motor would be the one with the shortest amount of the thickest wire.

i just ordered a Trinity D4 13.5 100% Certified i will be using in Blinky 13.5 TC On-road outdoor medium size track. I've never had a motor with these characteristics.

What is a good starting point:
Gearing FDR?
Can Timing?

thx in advance
Carlos
