Rumor has it that the new Kill Shot motor doesn't fit the assoc or the T4 car.
Is this true ??
Apparently the motor screw holes don't line up ??

Apparently you need to just rotate the motor plate

In general you want to be no more than 150F, give or take a few degrees. Some motors run hotter than others, and vis versa. That number should be pretty good to start with.

Just bought Killshot 17.5 motor with hi-torque rotor.

Does anyone have a set-up for TC boosted class?

Tuning notes that came with the motor suggests 0-20 deg endbell timing + max 40 deg on ESC (seems low for boosted).

Cheers
Alan

Has anyone ever tried the revtech with a high RPM rotor?
Just curious since I just bought a killshot rpm and put the HT rotor in it from my revtech and rpm rotor from killshot to revtech.
BTW both 17.5T, thanks

Don't go over 160-170F but every now and then if you see 180F it's not going to kill you but change gearing if you see that number

Anyone have a 4800 can answer something for me, does it come with some sort of sleeve to make the rotor shaft 5mm?

Hi I have a revtech 17.5. I use this motor in my Sakura Zero on carpet. I want to know what fdr to run for boost. I am using a Speed Passion Reventon Pro Esc, and need some help with FDR and ESC settings.

Which revtech? The new killshot or the older RSeries. If it's the older revtech them they don't seem to like boost too much. If it's the killshot then which one, torque or rpm? I ran my killshot HT stator with a HT rotor at about a 4.0 fdr with 30* boost. Motor came off at 135*.

It is the old R series motor with the 12.5 HT turquoise rotor. I just rebuilt the motor with new ceramic bearings, shimmed the rotor as close to the sensor board as I could get, and a new sensor board. Right now I have the motor at the stock timing, and I will start at 50% Hybrid boost on my SP Reventon Pro. But I am not sure where to start on the FDR. My local track is very tech with a 40' straight.

I would be careful boosting thst motor. But prob start somewhere in the mid 5-6 range to be safe and just start checking temps.

Ok thanks. I will start at 5.57 FDR and try that. Do you know how much timing one mark on the endbell is? And how much timing is the stock setting? Thanks for all the info.
