http://www.liverc.com/news/announcem...r_controversy/

Here's where I found the info! I'm not starting anything so don't get yours panties in a bunch!! I just bought the motor and went through a little controversy myself because I have beat the local hot shot at my track and I was accused of cheating because I had the motor! So I was hearing rumors and decided to come on hear and ask the question!

How does gearing compare between a Revtech and D3.5 21.5 for 0 timing? I've just switched to a D3.5 and was surprised to find I had to increase my gear ratio from 2.3 to 2.7 with reduced endbell timing and still running higher temps than before. Is this what others are finding?

Did they both have same rotor? Maybe the older motor made more torque so it ran cooler?

Default D3.5 timing and ESC boost

hi,

I got a D3.5 4.5T which I used for 1/12 pancar with a Hobbywing 1S ESC.
I typically use a rollout of 45mm and experimenting with motor timing and ESC boost setting.

Current, i will set the motoring timing to max and adjust the boost setting from 0 to 5. Does it make sense this way ? if I should set boost to a known value and adjust the motor timing instead.

Generally I set the motor timing to 0 and use the boost for timing. Adding motor timing adds heat so be careful!!

Thanks for the advise. Will try that out. I do noticed that the motor doesn't really get too hot, but it is the ESC that is usually warmer. Hope it is not a concern.

No offense but your not helping anyone by spreading rumors and propaganda on here. Unless you have a press release from ROAR stating the above it does not one any good to speculate and listen to rumors started by other manufactures.

EA

Where there is smoke..there's fire..ROAR pulls the motor...Here's your press release...

Can anyone recomend a bearing puller and press for replacing motor bearings. Thought I would ask here since its a Revtech motor I want to replace bearings in. Also what creamic bearings will fit Trinity/Revtech motors. Part #'s would help if you have them! Thanks
