No the duo one had the exact same rotor that we use now except black. It was a 12.3 mid strength rotor. Yes the 12.5 will fit also and is ROAR legal as Trinity/ReVtech submits all their motors with tuning rotors.

You're not looking in the right places then. I ordered the 12.5 HT rotor from A Main Hobbies yesterday and they had a ton of them left in stock.

Chris, check with Fantom. That's where I had to order mine from last summer when everyone else was out of them.

That's what I ordered. Yesterday they were in stock and had 10+. They must have not been in stock for only a few days at most before I ordered.

Chris I ordered you 1. If you already have one I will sell it for what I paid for it.

In light of the upcoming Carpet Nats, is the Revtech lightweight faceplate ROAR legal?

ROAR has stipulations against modifying the motor in anyway other than "standard bearing changes" and tuning rotors that are listed on the ROAR website as being approved.

Given that the faceplate isn't specifically listed on ROAR's website as being approved... does that mean it is not legal?

I know LRP makes an aluminum endplate for the X12, which would fall in a similar "grey" area.

At one time the rule said that you cant make any changes to a motor that add to the external dimensions. The lightweight plate is the same size overall with just less material so I am not sure where it falls with ROAR and the sometimes vague rules.

When I was doing roar tech I was not allowing them, part of it also falls into it not being original equipment. Cutting and venting is not allowed, mixing of parts is not allowed, it's grey but very similar.

Just one of many roar rules that are pretty ambiguous depending on how it's read.
