Or, can one safely drill the back of the bearing assembly to gain access to the solder lead ?

Anyway, will be good to see you at the Reedy. I met you at IIC long ago, will be fun to mix it up in 17.5... I'll be one of Pesky A700's looking to make mother Russia proud !

Re-soldering a wire on a Geisha Fan is an art form. You need to cut some of the rear case out - but not too much. The boys in Colorado appear to be good at it. You cannot really take the case apart. The fan motor/pivot is pressed into the plastic backing that you'd need to cut to fix the wire. Your millage may vary.

I'll have a metric ton of Seis fans with me.. so don't worry

Those A700 are always impressive -- on the bench and on the track. It should be a good time. Dawson has a fantastic setup on his right now -- it handles very good. I'm in the process of uploading a video on the Jackson RC forum which will show a battle between Dawson and I. Him driving great -- and me blowing out multiple times while driving a car too loose for me . Not my straightaway rip-- yeah buddy.

That is great camera angle to really get a feel for how big the track is and how it flows... beautiful

Look at you rocking the GoPro! It's truly the best way to get RC videos. If that's an HD2, you could probably drop the FoV down to medium.

Only Scrimo has been able to repair a Geisha fan wire. I killed the one I tried.

I'll have to give that a try - thanks Syndrome. no time for videos on Saturday. i was scrambling... baking off my Photon vs Photon EX.

Art must have some surgical precision w/ the soldering iron...

1080P 30FPS and medium FoV seems to be the right combo. You might be able to get away with narrow based on your distance from the track. You'll get less in the frame, but what is in there won't feel like it's a mile away.

I think Art's trick is to not cut away the plastic, and let it suport the iron while soldering a new wire back on. Sure, it might melt a little, but whatevs.

Tracking numbers are a good thing. If all goes well with physical inspection and real world testing Nikita v3 will be available Sunday for purchase!

Is there a huge difference between the v2 and v3 Nikita's?

The v3 design won't support 52mm shafts (by design.. it could work depending upon your arm spacing). The other change I'm keeping a secret until mine our out so no one steals the design...

I heard from the machine shop today. I hope to receive the new hotness by end of week.
