Yes. I usually run the timing at the + sign and 80-83mm rollout in 13.5 with the TX motor.

Default 2014 Snowbirds

The Snowbirds are getting close....so close I can almost feel that warm FL Sunshine! Anyone needing anything please send me an email at TeamEAM@me.com That goes for customers and Team guys. I am bringing everything in the house down and GS Hobbies will have a stock pile full of EAM and ORCA products.

Also no orders will be shipped or processed after Thursday of this week. I'll be sending everything down for the birds and wont have anything here to ship or anyone to ship it.

Thanks
EA

Hello

What's a good FDR starting point for 17.5 indoor carpet low-med traction and using F5 fan. Track is med size/technical. Thanks in advance

4.0 is usually a pretty safe starting point for a 17.5, assuming you are referring to a TC?

Medium size is pretty subjective. How many feet x how many feet is the track? I run on a 96x48 carpet track and I run 3.72 FDR and about 1.5-2mm past the +. I use the R1 fan and temp 160-165F after 6 minutes. For temps stay under 180F. I prefer 160-165F just to be on the safe side.

Our track is about the same size as his but I've got mine at about 3.88 with the timing jacked up about 2-3mm past the last tick. After 6 mins my motor comes off at around 140f.

These things are absolutely bulletproof though. My fan popped off the chassis the other day and the motor got up to 207f and the motor was still amazing.

Congrats Larry! Glad to see you back up front.....even if it was in front of me! LOL Glad I could be a part of your victory there and that you were happy with everything. It takes a killer car and driver to get to the winners circle and that you had this weekend for sure!

Team EAM and ORCA had a great weekend at the 2014 ROAR Carpet Nats in Omaha last weekend.

I was able to TQ and win the 13.5 Super stock 12th scale class using EAM Batteries and motors along with ORCA VX1 speedo.

In 13.5 TC it was Drew Ellis joing the ORCA ranks and taking down the TQ and Win in 13.5 Super Stock TC. He used the ORCA VXX, ORCA TX 13.5 and EAM batteries to secure the Championship.

Kyle Klingforth TQ'd and won Stock TC in dominating fashion (He was using a borrowed EAM D3.5 motor in his car). Kyle also finished 2nd in 13.5 Super stock TC. Kyle and his father Brent were awesome all weekend and super fast in all classes. Brent finished 2nd in stock TC as well.

Hey EA, congratulations on you and Drew Ellis in winning 13.5 SS 12th scale and 13.5 SS TC!

Man, Xray is really looking good all around the world right now. Not just in on-road, but off-road too.

Unbeknownst to Eric I was running an ORCA VXX in my 17.5 TC which is the the first time I've used one. Let me say this esc is awesome for those that have not tried it. It's throttle feel is super smooth and the brakes are just right. I was very fortunate Keith was pitting behind me and gracious enough to let me use one due to some issues i was having with my other esc. Thank you Keith. If your in the market for a good speed control i would highly recommend the ORCA.
