Bob--How much different are you having to gear the C27 over what you were running the monster's?

I ran 2 teeth (64 pitch) more with the C27. I had trouble Qualifying, stuck on the pipe trying to pass a lap car. I ended up Qual. 2nd, was able to take the lead on lap 3.

Default Dirt oval

Racing 6 cell stock dirt oval. The car need to "break" into the corner and pull off and down the straights. EA's motors are the way to go.

So you can feel that the C27 has some more bottom end than the maonster?

I got a EA KD19 turn in today. Haven't had a chance to run it but I spun that thing up on my Motor Master and couldn't believe the numbers compared to my other 19 turn motors. The first round of the JBRL points series is this Sunday. Perfect timing

EA,

Did the runtime and voltage go up on the latest batch of cells? I have never seen that kind of runtime combined with that kind of voltage!!

Keep up the great work and thanks for getting my order out so fast.

Not until 2007 as far as I know. Unless we get the 6 month approvals passed.

Exclamation Motor burn out

Hi EA

Just a quick question that I should know the answer to, but I don't. Is the wire used to make the turns on an armature insulated, I know they use some kind of resin to help stop the motor throwing winds, but I am not sure if the wire is also insulated, the reason I ask this is becaeuse when you run a motor on a two higher pinion and you burn the motor out, are you sorting out the wiring or is the insulation or wire braking down, another quick question what diameter is the wire used on 27T motors.

Yes, magnet wire has a coating of insulation. Usually a class C insulation is used, rated for 200*C @ 20,000 hour of use. Anytime an armature burns a wind it is directly related to a short. In most cases this is a result of the insulation being stressed during the winding process…

As for 27 turn motors, in compliance with ROAR rules these motors are wound with 22 Awg wire having a nominal OD of .0253”…
