Hey Eric,
What would be a better stock motor for the Tamiya track here in Aliso Viejo.
Epic type "M" or the type "R", I know if you gear it properly they will both work but if you had to make a choice, which would it be?
Inquiring minds want to know!
This question is specifically for Eric to answer!

Thank You!

The Komodo Dragon arm looks very similar to a P2k short stack armature blank, being 19t instead of 27t.

Hey Max,

If you are running on the layout (I know it can change a little but not much) as the Reedy race then the "R" stock will be better...It has more rpm with a little less torque but it is also more tricky to gear...If you miss it by more than a tooth then it will get hot and fall off. The "M"stock will be better if the track is a little smaller or has some 180's in it...It has more torque and will pull those heavy rubber tires better.

I ususally use a monster everywhere I go...Its hard to beat it in anything...But the C027 may change that

Mark...i dont think EA does that.. but ill tell you this. the motors you receive from EA is like the best one you can find in a hobby shop BUT tuned to be even faster! EA hand tunes each one. Look at the results (one is above) It speaks for itself.

KT's right, Spence was ballistic. My car was very fast aswell, but after breaking my very hooked up T2 in the first Q, I had to scramble and put my FK05 back together and try to get it set up. I suffered from rear end that just wouldn't rotate, but it was fast, very fast.

Hey Eric,
Had a friend use that Reedy QM I sent you a few months back....
It looked to be the fastest motor out there....Those XXX's are the bomb for that motor...It gets faster and faster each and every run...just skim the comm and rebreak in the brushes for 5 mins at 2v....
I think I love this motor...Can not wait to see the Checkpoints and the Newer Trinity 19T....
Bring them on....

Rob, what'd you break? im running tamiya rear hubs on mine after i broke the left rear.

i had to switch out the axles to the tamiya ones. had to use 5x9 bearings instead of the X-Ray 5x10... and drilled out the tamiya hubs so the hinge pin would fit.

What's up Eric. I'll be placing a good sized order once those new Komodo Dragon motors are available. I'll be needing a few new packs by then too I think.
