Chris,

Try F-brushes. They make at least as much power as 767's but are easier on the comm and wear great! I get 3-4 awesome runs on them in TC...sometimes 5-6.

WORD......
Ran five runs strait with no comm cut (just clean with motor spray, relube and make sure the brush hoods are alighned) and had the same lap times from run 1-5. I think I am done going through a new brush every run...
Thanks EA for the great brushes...
A couple of guys checked them out after three runs and they were impressed that the serrations were like a fresh broke in motor...LOL
Keep them coming...

I've used stand up f brushes for Mod oval and they were pretty good. My issue is that I don;t have a convenient local source for much ther than 767's and putnams may be a future option. I do know that 767's good for one killer run (stock 12th) second run is pretty good, third run you are in trouble. The xxx's gave me 4 really good runs but to be value for $ they need to double that. I'll try a set of F's in my stock and see what happens but I have to factor cost in as I'm on a budget.

Thanks for all the info guys.

Eric, if you have anything to add please do.

Thanks

Hey Chris,

Shoot me your address and I'll send you a few pair to try...just pay the shipping on them.

For 12th scale one way to make the F Brush stellar is to build a motor with them. Run them in a pactice run then bring the motor back and skim the comm. Break it in for 300 seconds at 2 volts and they run it over and over....It will be fast and not fall off. Plus with the sharp edges of the serrations gone it will not chew up the comm. You should be able to get 6-10 runs in 12th scale like that.

Thanks Eric, I will try that. I do drive very hard in 12th stock, yesterday in one of my runs I came off the track with 9 seconds left in my cells, no extra laps and no practice laps. I did not discharge my finals cells but I did take it easy for a minute mid way through the run as I was concerned about run time just a little (I had to charge at 8 amps to make the race and didn't get as much in as I normally do). My car was handling so well I could do a full lap only lifting 2 or 3 times. I don't drive like this as I like to lift and have the front end plant a little before the corners to get more turn in, I come through and around faster this way.

Thanks for the info.

Chris

I will be racing my new EA Motorsports IB3800's this weekend at one of our regional races. This should be a good Novak warm up race , Dumas, Tosolini, Robinson, Travis Schreven, Andrew Cartwright, and Darren Shank will all be racing.

Eric,

Curtis from dc sent me here, and said you were going to get monster stocks back in before novak, is this true ? Also with that new trinity stock motor comming out will you have those before the novak also ?

Will you be comming up for the novak and if so i'd be intrested in possibly getting a monster from you, if not a cobalt , if you are going to have them.

thanks

I will have monsters today sometime. I will be bringing those, roars and C2's to the Novak for the hobbyshop.

The CO27 motor probably will not be released till Feb.

Hey EA,

the C2 I bought two weeks ago-I ran it and it was whicked fast. Truly. I rolled it out just 1.16" at the Gate and it was fast as hell. F-brushes!! Two runs also and comm looks great. I will try for 3 runs on the same brushes tonight and gear it up another tooth.

Do you reccomend cutting the comm every run when you leave the brushes in? It feels like every time I sneeze I'm cutting a comm.
