EA: Hey Eric, if its not too much trouble, please bring atleast one 19T motor down for me during the NORRCA Nat's. I want to use it for the upcoming carpet season.

Are you coming down this weekend for some practice? Although, I know you "don't need no stinking practice".

If not, we will catch you down in the ATL in a next week.

Eric, I ran the Trinity ORL race today andThe motors ran awsome today I had more power than I ever had in stock, I had to do a little chassie tweaking but got the car real good in the A main ,just when things were going well I got in a wreck and broke a hub.Cant wait to run them again next week.Keep up the good work. You are the DEI of stock motors

Thanks for the power,

John Tag

Let me second Tag on this one, Eric.

I was able to thoroughly test your Monster yesterday at Jackson. It's a large, flowing road course. I ran between a 28.9 and a 29.5 and the motor ran absolutely ballistic throughout the range. The motor ran fairly cool the entire run with very little dropoff at the 5 minute mark.

Good work, dude!

Toastie?

Can't wait for the motor.

Let me see if I can pick your brain for a minute. Bought a Tamiya Super Stock RR 23T motor, and can't get the friggin' thing to work correctly.

I threw the thing on the Turbo35 and tried to run it at 2.0vs straight out of the box. The motor spun for about 2 seconds, and then hung. Disconnected it, pulled the brushes out, spun the arm, put the brushes back in. Tried again, same result.

So, I disassembled the thing, sprayed it out with motor spray, replaced the brushes, aligned the brush hoods, polished the bushings, reseated the bushings, and centered the arm in the can.

Now, it runs, but makes an odd clicking noise and is pulling close to 8 amps at 2 volts and almost 11 amps at 4 volts.

Any suggestions? I've checked and double checked everything, but I can't tell what's wrong. The arm is pretty hard to spin in the can when shimmed, but it's got a tick of play in both directions (and I do know how to shim an arm...) and doesn't appear to be binding end-to-end. I'm thinking that the armature may be making contact against the magnets, but I can't see any shiny spots on the arm (although, I haven't run it much... ) I'm afraid to run it for too long in case it IS rubbing on the magnets. I don't want to toast the thing before I get it on the track, but honestly, it's not doing any good the way things are now.

Suggestions?

I'm all for it, JDM. Trying to get this thing working so I can practice with it before TCS Nats at the end of the month.
