Finally ran my monster based stock motors this past weekend and was very happy with the results. Ended up gearing it at a 7.32 ....what would you suggest I gear the ROAR based stock at?

Stephen is right...but if the track is very large and flowing I would go 1 tooth less than the monster.

EA and ButtahBoy......... hey, i know how to tune and tweak! Don't make me bust out the dyno and teach the stock and 19T guys a thing or two about gearing based on Dyno readings.

I'll help where i can EA.

Jeff

Default Green machine

Hey EA,
A little while ago you rebuilt a green machine for me up in Nashville. I was wondering what the brush was. The only thing I know was that it had a slotted face. I will say that the motor absolutely ripped.
Thanks for any help you can give me

Harshguy- They are slightly more revvy than a monster but they do not fall off at the end of the run. RPM is a function of torque and viceversa, so u lose some torque at the gain of some rpm. When geared correctly both motors should be equally as fast.

Csarri, it was either an F-brush v.2 or 767's. They both perform well. I'm thinking it was the f-brush cause Eric brought those numbers back for brandt to see. Contact Eric if you want either brush (although he was a lil thin on 767s). I snatched up several pair of the v2 F-brush.

I think he will be at some of our points races too.

Thanks MrUtley. That motor was putting out some crazy numbers. Hopefully I can get it back to something close to that.

Guys I have been kind out and in the forum over the past couple weeks and I have a question. What gives with the F brush? I see a lot of you refering to a v1 and v2 and then now were back to using the 767? Help a brother out? And when I order my motors this week which brush will be in it? Roar stock.
Thanks

Brant

Default Mt. Fuji

Mt. Fuji does it again. This motor is awesome guys. I ran one this weekend and all I can say is WOW This motor had unbelievable rpm and torque. If you get a chance try this motor out. It is the shape of things to come.

There were 3 versions of the F-brush. V1 & V2 are fine. EA is not selling V3 due to issues racers were reporting. Many people switched back to 767s due to V3. V2 still rock solid. I hope that helps some.

Eric will have to answer which brush will be in the Roar stock or other motors because I dont remember what he said there. (I'm guessing 767s)

Csaari,

The Green Machine he rebuilt for you had the 2nd generation F-Brush in it. Give me a shout at any of our races if you need some help with anything.

Thanks
Brandt

Thanks Brandt.

I looked on the EA website, but it seems like the laydown f-brush has been taken off. Is it just out of stock, or is EA not going to carry it anymore?

I believe they are currently working out an issue they had with the last batch so right now they aren't on the web page. I don't know if he still has any left from the previous batch, you can drop him an email at EAMotorsports@bellsouth.net and find out though.

He also has some of the "newer" 767's that are pretty good. They wouldn't be a bad choice either.
