Can't you put the motors and shipping material on a little table next to the bed?

Default Bearings in 27t motors?

Hey guys, I want to ask the opionions of people on here on the subject of bearings in stock motors.
I'm looking at running in the 27T class of the TORC series over here in the UK, and I've just been browsing through the rules. Interestingly it says that:

Quote:
27t Motor Stock motor class (open/rebuidable), as BRCA listings. Bearings can also be fitted to these motors.
Now what would the advantage of doing this to my stocks be? and how easy is it to do? Would it affect the tuning of the motor (armature shiming etc)?
Would it be possible to get some of these pre-built by your good self Eric?

Also over here, the CML carpet masters allow this, and from what I've heard there is next to no difference with regard to performance, but maintence is easier.

Just wanted to get the opinions of it from the horse's mouth, so to say.

Regards
Ed

Im doing TORC as well, im planning to run with brushings but take some bearings with me. I cant see you gaining a lot, maybe a little tiny bit of acceleration and more efficiency so run a touch cooler.

Default Bearings

i have a load of bearings coming
EA & br00d are stuck in middle really
it would mean having 2 lots of motors cos bearings are not legal every where even in the states

shimming will be affected (not a lot) be very minimal i would of thought.

The EA & br00d 19tc2`s are legal on theTORC list from john robson

Curtis-I have a question for you. I had a V2 with a 8x1 and I guess a 4mm armature blank. That heated the can up so much every run it would desolder. I was wondering which arm I should put in my V2 can to run in mod touring on foamtires/carpet? I am thinking a 9 or 10 turn. Tracks 88x50

Thanks,
Rayx1
