Doing great, we had a blast at the off road Nats. Yeah gearing the boosted setups can be a little weird, seems the dynamic timing tends to compensate, blurring the changes some. Didnít help that we only got one partial day in to play with the new motors, on a dramatically different track, oh well.
We ended up at 7.3 FDR in stock buggy, Speed Passion GT with a little below max settings. Stock motor timing. Donít think we gave up much if anything to anybody, I thought it had a little more infield punch even. There was one short uphill blast where it seemed really strong. Ran nice and cool, not much over 110F.
Truck (traditional stadium) ran the Sportsman no ESC timing rules. We ran 6.5 FDR, I suspect we should have went higher (lower fdr), but the Team Driver sure can be skittish about changes at times. Other than giving up a little on the end of the long straight it seemed right on pace. Did get a little warm with the cranked motor timing, in the 140s. Next time I think Iíd try less timing and more gear.
