Good motor, if you don't already know if your going to go and use the timing past the mark or any at all you absolutely must have the aluminium endbell in the hot conditions. I prefer the RX3 now only based on it is nicer to drive than TX but both are fast just different conditions change what i use

Hey Guys,

i'm about to change my electronis to ORCA VX3 and RX3. Do you know about any issues with the stuff, even on the long run? Was told not to buy the ORCA stuff, because of some serious problems with durability!?

Any input would be apreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Regards Sebbo

Never heard anything like that. All I hear is that ORCA is one of the absolute top brands and their ESCs and motors are said to run extremely smooth. Personally I'm running some ORCA stuff (planning on more) - didn't have any problems so far. And I haven't used much other stuff, so I cannot really compare.

The only downside appears to be that ORCA doesn't deliver much quantity to Germany - and at least for ESCs I'd like to have my dealer in country (just in case anything does happen with it). On motors, I'm a little more relaxed and bought some from Hong Kong as well.

Thanks Dirk for your reply!

There's a dealer in the UK who got the Esc and motor in stock. Do you think, this might be a problem, if there are any issues with Esc or motor?

I don't know. I prefer to buy the more complex / more expensive things (like the VX3 ESC) here in Germany, if possible. But I guess the UK (or pretty much any European source) is ok - after all it's not that far away.

running a b5m lite on a small indoor carpet track here and there and using a 17.5 orca motor. What is a good starting gearing for this. Id say with all the twist and turns and jumps the longest straight is 25' all other chutes are shorter. Im at 69 30 right now but thinking of 72 30 maybe. Any thoughts. Timing cranked to last mark on can running blinky

in blinky or stock classes I usually run 0% initial brake with 2K or 4K and the brake feeling is super strong
