Hi Jeff
It is our intention to submit the Orca Q Spark to ROAR for approval after our unfortunate suspension has ended. We'll keep you in the loop.

Default Orca Infinite 6000Mah 3.7V 60C 1-Cell Race Pack

Hello,

Has anyone tried this battery? Specs seems to be fine. How does it run against best batteries?

I would be using it in 1/12th scale spec class in Finland where we run 10.5t motors with no-timing esc.

More info about the battery here:
http://quantumracing-rc.blogspot.com...0c-1-cell.html

Thanks!

I purchased this speedo used. Guy said it worked great. Tried to calibrate to my M11, 2.4 ghZ FHSS-2. Will not calibrate with throttle set in “Rev” position on transmitter, only in “nor”, but calibrates fine that way. I get 2 beeps when held in reverse, go to throttle, get 2 more, than neutral and get a series of chimes. However, motor will then run only intermittently. Motor is fine, I hooked it up to an LRP SXX TC SPec and it ran fine. Tried a 17.5 D3 with the Orca and had the same problems as with the Tekin motor. Tried with 2 separate LiPos and still had the same issue. Recalibrated using a KO radio on 27 mhZ FM, still had the same problems. Am I missing something, or is this speedo just bad? Thanks.

Thanks Hans. Yes, it calibrates, and I can actually program it with the box, just can't get the motor to run. Reset speedo to the defaults last night, changed EPAs on Tx, etc. Still can't get motor to run. Have tried 2 different sensor wires, batteries, etc. I'll get it packed up and shipped off. Have run Tekin, LRP, and HW/SP, was really looking forward to giving the Orca a try.

I'm sorry man! We just got back from IIC!

This is the setup we ran at the IIC( High bite carpet)

Punch 8
PWM 8k
D.B. 14%
initial B. Off
B.F. 700
And we used the ORCA RX2 17.5 motor with option rotor, gear at 3.88
Motor timing 4.5bars

I think you can start with this setup!

Default Where to buy ORCA

I am in Canada, and MuchHobby (www dot muchhobby dot com) has the full ORCA lineup.

I believe that AmpDraw is going to start carrying the ORCA line in the near future.

Regards,
Ian

Thanks, but it seems that muchhobby are out of stock and Ampdraw still do not have the lineup.

Does this mean that we (North Americans) are SOL? Purchasing the ESC in the UK can run 350 bucks with proper courier shipping.

Appreciate anyway!!

Bingo! Looks like a blown sensor circuit. Runs fine without the hall sensor attached. Wish I'd known the Orca would run sensorless, could have checked that first and saved myself several hours LOL. Thanks Big Gord for the help. Hans, will ship it out to y'all tomorrow or Monday. Thanks.
