Really interested in the vx3 and the motors, how do they compare to orion? Good fit for off road?

Eric, since the vx3 has a replaceable connector wire for the receiver what type of plug goes into the esc, futaba or airtronics? Also do you sell the esc power switch - osw1212e?

thanks

They are as good or better than anything on the market for off road, on road or oval. It doesnt matter what it is they flat out work well! You can make the VX3 even smoother than previous orca versions with strong brakes or you can make them an on/off switch for stock.

At the moment they have not sent any harnesses or switches to sell separately. But I expect they will soon. They are just trying to get caught up with all their back orders on speedo's and get the VX3.1S out to the public.

Didn't see if there are racer profiles that are posted somewhere to give a place to start and tweak to our liking?

Does anyone's RX3 motor smell like it's going bad but runs just fine?

I ran mine for the first time yesterday and after 3 minutes it smelled like it burnt. Temperature was right at 140 which shouldn't be too hot and it was running just fine. I ran it at least three more times and it ran fine with temps no higher than 145 and seemed to have plenty of power but always came off smelling like it was going bad.

Its the safety epoxy they put over the windings after they are wound to prevent tampering. Its normal and as the last poster said it goes away over time.

Was wondering what is up with getting the RX3 (17.5) on the ROAR list? The new D4S is already on the list, and I think it came out after the Orca.

Also, is it possible to use a VX1 on two cell?

I sent an email to ROAR, and they replied on December 15th.
"About Racing (ORCA) just submitted the motors for approval and inspection and approval has not yet been granted, but is expected soon.

just to set the record strait.

As Fred was not involve directly so he may not know the detail.

The motors were send in for approval since August, but we just got a direct response from the motor inspector in December.

What happened in between? well, it's ROAR
