I have just bought a new VXX ESC it has a 4.1 software in it. I went to use my programing box to adjust it to the ESC programing to match the settings to my liking, just like my ESC with the 3.3 software I have in my older VXX. When I try to use the stock blinky mode or any other mode the program box says sending and won't complete's programing.
I have programmed many vx and VXX with my box but they all have 3.3 software. This ESC won't program. Can you guy's help me? Thank you guy's ahead of time.

I believe you have update your programming box to the newer version for it to program the 4.1 software.

nolo148 is correct you need to install the latest programming box FW as well.

Hi Daniel,

There is an attachment that has a sensor wire type connection on one end and a three pin connection on the other end that allows the update of the Program Card.

If you are at St. Catharine's on Sunday, we can update it for you. Otherwise, we could meet during the week if you are in the West End.

Regards,
Ian

Hey guys,

You'll need the USB Link (Part no. OUL3680E) and you can download firmware version 4.0 140319A to your program box, that should support 4.1 according to the Orca site. I've had my program box since ver 3.0 and I've downloaded all versions to it and never had any issues tuning any Orca speed control regardless of what firmware they have. Brent posted the link to the downloads page a few posts back.

Ok so I have been running my Orca's VXX now in blinky now for awhile and they are great. I put together a mod car and have tried to set up esc for that. I was given a setup sheet and programmed esc but the issue is it is not ramping or boosting up. I thought it was a sensor wire thing so that has been changed several times to no luck. Then I swapped out the motor and same issue. For mod you only mess with settings in modify mode? Or do you adjust anything in stock mode as well? Both program box and esc are 4.1ver. Below is my setup.

Basic:
Running mode=Forward/brake
Battery=Lipo
Cutoff Voltage=Middle
Overheat=Off
Neutral range=6%

Modify mode:
Timing start=40%
Timing=0%
Timing Interval=+3
Turbo Delay=0.06
Turbo Timing=14%
Turbo Interval=+3
Drag Brake=10
Initial Brake=3%
Brake Freq=2k
Punch=3
PWN=32%

This is Hagbergs setup I was given by EA. So I don't know if I setup anything in Stock mode or if there is something else Im supposed to do. Any thoughts?

Everything looks good there, tho I prefer to run my voltage cutoff at like .02 or whatever the lowest value is. I don't think that's your problem here tho. I'm running a very similar setup and it's really good. Seems like you've tried everything I would've tried, except maybe reloading the firmware on the speedo and starting over completely.

Actually I tried two speedo's with the new software installed. I was wondering if there is anything else I have to do? I recalibrated radio too.

Turbo only works when the throttle is at 98%+. Make sure the ESC is recognizing full throttle. Try playing with throttle end points or sub-trim.
