What would be a consequence of running the esc without the capacitor. My negative wire came loose this weekend, but I'm not sure when. I didn't notice any issues all day. My temps were about 101 with the fan on it.

Jerz616: Shouldn't be a problem as long as ESC is still working correctly. No capacitors results in slightly higher heat build up and a little less motor performance.

Hi
Just wondering if anyone knows or have had this issue.
I put the orca spark Q esc in my 2wd buggy with an 9.5 Turnigy trackstar sensored motor & it only cogs at full throttle.
I then tried a viper 13.5 and no issues.

That trackstar motor came out of my SCT with a tekin rs and I had no issues with it.

esc says peak current 320A max 5.5T
the motor is rated at 47A 350W max

Thanks

Yes the software will be compaitable with the VX Speedo. The biggest place anyone will notice a difference with the new speedo is in Modified. It has a larger heat sink so that it will run cooler when running more aggressive timing profiles. The brakes are improved also through the software.

These are still a few (2-3) weeks away from being available in the US. I will have them first for shops in the US. Anyone wanting to preorder them can contact me and I will get them on the list for the first batch.

i know this won't help our offroad drivers looking for setup advice, but i'm starting to collect various ORCA setup info online at my wiki - http://racerlog.com/wiki/ORCA_ESC_Setups

All of the ORCA TX Series motors have passed ROAR tech inspection and met the ROAR requirements per our last email from ROAR. They still have to have final ROAR EXCOM vote finished to be put up on the list. That should be finished up very very soon
