how many generations are there of the tsr spec motors?
for example in trinity's case, d3 d3.5 d4
How do you tell them apart? Have not seen a pic of a tsr motor.....
I've placed an order a few days ago, but have not had confirmation besides from paypal, is that normal?
will I be getting the new one thats coming out? or old stock? I'd hate to be getting an 'old' one, knowing there is a new model coming out.....
also whats the difference when you order 13.5 wgt, 1/12, 4wd/shortcourse and TC? I ordered the TC, as that's what I will be using it for, but just wanted to know.

Each ongoing change would be submitted to ROAR and they would then be sold and the previous version would be outdated/not sold.
Any orders now will be for the newest version "TSR 1.0".
This motor is a new design and was submitted to ROAR as a new motor.
The previous changes were small things such as stack length (going from 19.8mm to 19.3mm). Without measuring stuff you wouldn't have noticed it.
The different choices for the same turn motor is based on rotor strength and timing. All the testing the team has done has come up with a good guess on what will work the best for each application. Of course track size, traction, etc... play a role in the motor timing and rotor strength, but I think the way they are set will be pretty close to what is needed. So, If you ordered a TC 17.5 it will come with a very strong rotor (4 line) and approx. 48* of total timing. It may be higher or lower depending on motor RPM when being set.
Typically the PP notification is all that's generated. You'll also get a message saying that a shipping label has been created. The motor may not be shipped that day when it's generated. That lets you know things are progressing along with the motors assembly. The label gets printed off, then the motor is hand built to what you need. Then the motor is shipped out. You may also get an email asking more specific questions about where you are running, track size, etc... to help tune the motor.
