ROAR Approved, correct?

TSR 25.5 "THE 1"

TSR255

and

TSR 25.5 All Classes
$95.00

TSR255 RACE

which one is legal for ROAR
Myron,

I believe the motor as a whole is approved and part number variance is just for ordering purposes. The One is just the hand selected, tuned version with different bearings. Similar to the Fantom menu options available on their 25.5 motors.

If I remember correctly....
280ish for the 6000
320ish for the 7800

Default 25.5 Part Number

Darkside I just looked into this, my webmaster has been working on the site and some how RACE was tagged onto the boarder of the part number. He said some code was bad and that's why it was there.

The $95.00 and $140.00 "THE 1" are both the same motors. "THE 1" version having the better IR Spread, Deviation, Asymmetry, ceramic bearings, non magnetic shims, etc.

Thank you for pointing that out to me!

I purchased a TSR 17.5 "The 1" back in Feb 2017 and have been using it regularly since then. Lately it has been having some problems making loud screeching noises and some sensor error's being signaled by the ESC.

Would it be possible to have the motor sent in to be tuned and what would the turnaround time be? Location is CT.

Thanks.

My stator moves forward and back and causes vibration as the rotor is rotated. Another TRS owner and I noticed the same thing. He ended up epoxying it to the can. We can see 1-1.5mm in movement. I looked at the stator out of the can and there is nothing to keep the shape other than the wires to the stator from the end plate. Anyone else have the same issue?

Mine moves a little but there is no noise or performance loss from it.

This weekend was hot at my track. A very large track. Motor temps were getting up there so I turned down timing to 40 and kept my fdr at 3.8ish. I was noticeably slower in practice. So I decided to try the opposite thing and go back up to 50 on timing and changed fdr to a 4.16. Temps were manageable in the 150/160 degree range but the car came alive. Going to keep it in this ballpark for the summer and see how it goes. This was 17.5 tc. I pulled out a back to back win in usgt and 17.5 this past weekend. Funny that my usgt is timed at 40 and geared at 2.96 and temps stayed around 150/160. Whatever works.

I had this motor on the dyno when I noticed the stator vibrating.

There is a noticeable dip in power when it happens.I did not open this motor.

I also had the second motor in my hand and in this case the shoulder in the can that stops/locks the stator rounded off due to vibtation.

Stator moved all the way to the front 2mm costing him a dnf race weekend.

Is there an easy way to check our motors for this issue? I assume if the motor doesn't vibrate while giving it some throttle the motor is good. I hope it's not a common problem with these motors.

I have the exact same problem with mine. I will pull the trigger and doesn't want to go for a half a second, then takes off. I had the semsor wire replaced, change esc, the same. I have the 21.5 "one" version.
